11.01.2022 Did you know that if you hold your life insurance within your super fund, there is a major change coming from 1st July this year? The legislation is called "Protect your Super and it was developed to stop super funds being eroded by insurance you dont need or want. That all sounds good BUT the downside is that thousands of Australians are about to lose life insurance policies which they may need and want. Attached is a news article about this change but its pretty shor...t on actual details. if you are concerned, contact your super fund NOW as its easy to keep the insurance but this must be done by 30th June. If you need help, give us a call. https://www.news.com.au///e6ee522e7474acb6a7858b18c197c9c9

10.01.2022 Time is such an important factor when investing - the longer the time horizon, the greater the chance your investments will meet their goals. The crazy blue line is the last twelve months and the green line is the last twenty years. Time smooths out all the wrinkles.

09.01.2022 Just a reminder that our office will be closed tomorrow, Friday 14th June due to the public holiday for the Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show/Nambour Show. If your around town on the weekend, why not drop in and check it out.

04.01.2022 Great news for anyone holding Australian Shares. You may not hold a parcel of direct shares however if you have superannuation, its likely that your portfolio includes some aussie shares. If you would like to review your current investment strategy, give us a call.

04.01.2022 The Roller Coaster of Investor Emotion: Investor emotion plays a huge role in exaggerating the investment cycle. The key for investors is not to get sucked into this emotional roller coaster. Avoid assets where the crowd is euphoric and convinced its a sure thing and favour assets where the crowd is depressed and the asset is under loved. Of course, doing this is easier said than done which is why many, if not most, investors end up getting wrong footed by the investment cycle. Getting sucked in during the good times only to panic out during the bad times.

03.01.2022 We are currently spending some time on the darling downs visiting clients in Dalby, Toowoomba and Goondiwindi. These regional towns have been hit hard by the drought and its easy to forget how dry it is out here until you see it first hand. If youre free this weekend, why not take a drive west to support these towns as they really need it.

02.01.2022 The Investment Cycle: Economic cycles are a fact of life and its usually the case that the share market leads the cycle (bottoming before economic recovery is clear and topping before economic downturn hits) and that different assets do best at different phases in the cycle. Of course, each cycle is a bit different.

02.01.2022 Dont forget to get your entry in to win a $50 Coles Myer Gift Card. See our original post for details.

02.01.2022 This is an excellent article which every person with funds invested in an industry super fund needs to read! If this prompts any questions, give me a call.

01.01.2022 They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.... Our office will be closed today for Anzac Day and will reopen again at 8.30am on Friday.

01.01.2022 The Wall of Worry .... When it comes to investing, worries are normal but most of them are just noise. It all seems louder and more worrying now because its getting magnified by social media screaming for attention. Try to turn it down as the long term trend is always up.
