22.01.2022 It is with sadness that we advise all of our wonderful competitors and sponsors that due to this ongoing 'D' word we have not been able to secure sufficient numbers of cattle to run our event in March. We are beginning to see some falls of rain across our area and we're hoping, not just for our sake, that our cattle donors get some decent falls and can see a good amount of feed back across their country again soon. We will see how things progress and may consider rescheduling in the second half of 2020We'll keep you all posted!

11.01.2022 Remember the Hazelwood Conman gelding that Ron Wall started at our first colt starting competition back in 2018? Well he won the open campdraft at Marrar on the weekend with Tom Denson aboard who bought him at the auction at the conclusion of the colt starting. Congrats Tom!

09.01.2022 We are so sorry to hear of the passing of one of the absolute greats of our sport - Ron Wall. Ron was pretty important to getting our challenge up and running - he taught us a lot about the sport, and was always happy to judge, run a clinic or advise us on any aspect of how to interpret the rules or run our event better. We loved watching Ron compete (and have a beer with him!) at Coonamble every year and were all lucky to watch his awesome skills in the CCC colt starting in 2018. We are thinking of his family, his horses and the many, many people he touched throughout his life at this sad time.

04.01.2022 Happy New Year! We're excited to announce that we will be running the Benalla Stud Horses and Simmental Bulls Derby Challenge event at CCC 2021. This is for 5 & 6 year old horses and will be part of the Australian Stockman's Challenge Association Derby Premiership. Pull those ponies out of the Christmas paddock people, there's a trophy buckle up for grabs as well as some prizemoney, all thanks to Drew and Sally at Benalla Stud. #cblechallenge #cccisawesome #challengeaccepted2021

02.01.2022 Yep we’re back and happy to announce that we will be running a campdraft on 12th-13th September. With Covid-19 restrictions and guidelines for running an event, and the extra work that they entail, we are going to keep it small and will only be running Maiden, Novice and Open drafts. But we would love to see all our friends come out for a great couple of days of drafting and a catch-up. More details will follow shortly with an official program so stay posted and we hope to see you there!
