25.01.2022 Canberra BMX Club Annual General Meeting 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Canberra BMX Club Date: 24th October 2020 Location: Canberra BMX Track Copland Drive Melba... Time: 11.00am AGM AGENDA Welcome Presentation of 2019 minutes Club report Treasurer’s report Declaration of vacant positions Election of new board members Close We will be calling for nominations for one (1) board members position, with it being of a two (2) year term. There is also the provision for establishing a small subcommittee if more people are interested. You don’t need to have a lot of experience with BMX, but you just need to be interested and enthusiastic in the progression of the sport. All levels of knowledge and expertise welcomed. We also will be calling for someone for the position of Public Officer this is a non-board position, with it being for a two (2) year term. For further information on the above position/s or to submit nomination form please email [email protected] Nomination forms for board member positions must be received via email or to the Club house no later than one (1) hour prior to the nominated time for the Annual General Meeting. 24.01.2022 How awesome is this Southlake Illawarra BMX Club and Ace Race Australia have paired up to make this awesome jersey for Kai Sakakibara For those of you who don’t know Kai here is a little run down Australian Olympic BMX cycling hopeful Kai Sakakibara, suffered a major crash on Saturday 8 February 2020 during the opening heat of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup in Bathurst, Australia.... Kai underwent surgery the next day to relieve pressure on his brain following the serious crash and was in a coma for 8 weeks. Initially, doctors were not confident he would survive but he fought hard and he continues to make strong progress in all aspects of his rehabilitation. Kai continues to make amazing progress everyday but still has a long way to go. We at the Canberra BMX Club are all so proud of you mate. 22.01.2022 Series 3 update Out of the 7 rounds that had been scheduled for the series we have only been able to complete 4. To qualify for the series now you only need to have completed 2 rounds.... Those who have qualified will be presented with certificates and ribbons. Presentation will be held on our Christmas party as noted on the calendar on the 11 December (more information to come soon) Thanks, CBMX Board
