19.01.2022 Love the variety of work we've done this week. This beautiful print by Rona Green is simply framed as the image speaks for itself. Not very often we get a chance to cut round mats, but this older style profile portrait suits it perfectly !

12.01.2022 Studio is buzzing this morning! Saw whales on the way to the studio this morning, the sun is shining and we're spending the day listening to music and framing everyone's beautiful artwork. Life's tough!

12.01.2022 Chinese papercuts originated in the 6th Century when women used to paste golden and silver foil cuttings onto their hair and were later used to decorate windows during festivals. These amazing works were done by Zheng Xian Yun, a Master of Arts and Crafts from the Blessing Papercut Society in China. They depict Qing Dynasty warriors. So intricate and really beautiful. A pleasure to frame!

12.01.2022 Great week in the studio. From deep set box frames housing objects, to expressive contemporary drawings & collage by Rochelle Summerfield. A pleasure to frame such beautiful works...

12.01.2022 When we're not framing amazing artwork, we're relaxing at home watching the amazing wildlife !

12.01.2022 Here it is - our first custom made bark support ! Made to suit the natural contours of the bark, these can be custom-made to support work of any size. This beautiful work is from Maningrida Arts and Culture in Arnhem Land.

12.01.2022 Finished installing this Slimline Gallery hanging system in a new home in Coffs Harbour during the week and it looks great ! Sitting flush against the cornice or ceiling, you can barely see it and allows total flexibility in hanging your work. Call into the studio to check it out or give us a call for installation quote.

11.01.2022 An interesting bit of restoration work this week. After a few hours of sanding and scraping away the mission brown paint, restoring some of the broken pieces and applying a gold wax gilt rub, this ornate antique frame has come up a treat!

11.01.2022 A pleasure to frame and install these beautiful abstract images by photographer Simon Hughes for the launch of the new Ford and Dougherty Real Estate offices in Grafton, Yamba and Maclean.

10.01.2022 If your in Brisbane this show is not to be missed. Me and Cher spent a very long day with these two amazing artists putting the finishing touches to the framing of Robert's work. Beautiful work by both artists that compliment each other perfectly.

09.01.2022 A real pleasure to frame this policeman's shirt with his medal and certificate on behalf of his family, keeping the precious objects safe behind glass.

09.01.2022 Amazing how these miniature oils of Henk Kaptein from the Clarence Valley draw you in to see the detail. As if looking at the landscape through a window, you find yourself peering around the edge of the matt in the hope of seeing more!

09.01.2022 Some of the many options you have to frame your artwork. The first photo shows a 3D collage framed with a triple matt. The second is a tapestry with a double matt and recessed float mount. and the third is a lithograph from Grafton Regional Gallery collection framed with a gold filler moulding.

09.01.2022 Some of the work passing through this week. A beautiful old photograph with ornate wooden frame mounted with an oval mat that really suits the composition. The other works are giclee prints of original artworks framed with a floatmount.

08.01.2022 Absolutely nothing to do with framing, but thought I'd share this photo of Elvis, our resident King Parrot. A true work of art!

08.01.2022 Just reframed this print that had been mounted using a masonite backing board that had direct contact with the artwork resulting in the leaching of the acids shown in the second photo. Make sure the materials used for framing are acid free and conservation standard. Also ensure that your artwork or photograph is not in direct contact with the glass by using either a mat board or spacer. Any problems/questions, give us a call

07.01.2022 A few unusual works to pass through the studio this week. The first is a 19th century lithograph of Captain Cook framed with a double mat and gold slip that gives the work a formal presentation. The second is a Paper Toll by local artist Sherill Harrison, framed with a deep set double mat that contrasts nicely with the pink roses.

06.01.2022 Great exhibition not to be missed!

04.01.2022 Just finished restoring, mounting and framing these medals for Sawtell Rotary Club. If you are looking to frame a special piece of memorabilia, poster, certificate, sport shirt or medals give us a call or call in for a chat.

03.01.2022 And for our weekly 'view from the balcony' nature shot, a female red-necked wallaby sitting down cleaning its tail. How else can they reach back there?

03.01.2022 Very special Chelsea Football Club shirt signed by all the 2016/17 team! Framed with a black timber moulding with silver inlay and a float mount. Not my team but still looks great. Special discount for any Man United shirts out there!

01.01.2022 Some photos from our latest installation. These amazing artworks were hung using the very impressive Slimline gallery track system. If you're planning on displaying art on your walls, consider using these tracks as it will prevent the need to continually penetrate the walls with holes and is totally flexible in your choice of display. This installation was the final touches to a newly renovated inner Sydney apartment and adds a new dimension to a stunning living area.

01.01.2022 A 2005 NSW State of Origin shirt signed by all the losers. But not this year!
