16.01.2022 If youve applied for early release of super, please be aware that the Australian Tax Office (ATO) experienced initial operational issues which caused a delay in Cbus receiving files. Our first batch of members approved for payment was received from the ATO last Wednesday 22nd April. These members will have their payments made today and will appear in bank accounts in the next day or so depending on who members bank with. This is in line with the 5-day time frame we have in p...lace. Files that have issues like incomplete and incorrect details may experience a slightly longer process. We understand that many Cbus members are facing significant financial uncertainty and stresses. We are working to ensure members receive payments as quickly as possible. 12.01.2022 Running a business is hard work, requires many hats, but is equally as rewarding Kat, licensed gas fitter and plumber. A few years ago, Kat was waiting for someone to install her home heater. While they were running late, Kat got curious and started the job on her own. Once the tradie arrived, he was impressed and tested her welding skills. She passed the test and offered her a job on the spot. Fast-forward 7 years, and award-winning Kat (won the 2013 Rose Curtis Award ...for outstanding female apprentice) now owns her own plumbing business - Kats Plumbing Co. with Victoria, and Master Plumbers apprentice Jess. 05.01.2022 The ATO advised that due to an isolated incident currently subject to an AFP investigation, applications for early release of super scheme were temporarily suspended from Friday 8th May. Cbus did not receive any early release files from the ATO on Friday 8th May, which will result in a delay of processing these claims. The ATO have advised they will recommence sending files again today (Monday 11th May), and we will work as hard as we can to process these claims. Our priorit...y continues to be getting money to our members as efficiently as possible while ensuring the security of your retirement savings against fraud and money laundering. Please note, if you applied for early release of super before the 8th of May or on/after the 11th of May, you will not be impacted.
