20.01.2022 Today my staycation comes to an end. It’s often my preferred way to spend the summer, spending time with my son and rejuvenating for the year ahead. It’s grant writing season at CC Copy and I’m kicking off the year writing grant submissions for biotech scientists. 06.01.2022 I am living my best life as a wordsmith and contributing to other people’s visions in this way, gives me so much joy and satisfaction. Since becoming a freelance wordsmith a little over a year ago, I have written for artists, architects, accountants, real estate agents, live music venues, health and wellness retreats, teachers, coaches, entrepreneurs and graphic designers. I have learned that language is not just a communicative tool but a powerful sculptor of reality. ... We use language to describe and define, so it’s vital that the words we select to convey our business and our visions are precise and wisely chosen. The mechanics of writing are one skill to master but the ability to penetrate creation with words and manifest a new idea, a new enterprise, a business, is an art unto itself. Since I could hold a pen I knew I was born a wordsmith. 38 years on and I have the confidence to say I have reached a level of mastery. Now, my focus is on applying everything I know about language to benefit others. To be of service. To support business’ to articulate exactly what they offer in a way that stands out among the crowd. If I had a dime for every time a client cried upon reading my copy, that it relieved them of the creative block they could not resolve themselves and in turn, set their path straight with the clarity of language to guide them, I’d be be the wealthiest wordsmith in town!
