13.01.2022 Never too cold or hot , too dry or too wet because they do not have a choice. Today is certainly is hot day in Melbourne. So happy to see them waving at us when we pull up on the side of the road. Happier for us to see them getting their meals, fruits and cakes. Happiest to see them when their eyes tear up when they hold on to the can of iced cold soft drinks and bottle of water. 100 homecooked meals, 48 cans of soft drink , 48 bottles water , 100 pieces of the yummiest ...homemade chocolate cake , 56 mini cakes . A box of Fuji apples , Hand sanitiser and Masks. Managed to give out 6 backpacks . They don’t have a home to go back to but at least they have a meal and some sweets that have been cooked in a home/restaurant. While the queue is getting longer and new faces appear each week, we were able to give many people more than just one meal tonight. Thank you all who donated their time, money or food to this weeks meals. It was appreciated by all Quinn Lim whose birthday is today. She donated some meals to celebrate her special day with them.
