In the theme of 2020 International Women’s Day #EachforEqual, our Women in Defence Team are hosting a leadership development high tea creating an opportunity for female students to understand whether a career in the ADF is something they wish to pursue after school. There will be female speakers sharing their ADF story, including females from essential Army roles which are in high demand. ... Who can attend? Pathways Coordinator with; female students who are Australian Citizens and are aged 16.5 years or over. These students must not have already started an application, currently in the application process or have sat a YOU session. Students must show an interest in finding out more about jobs in the Australian Defence Force. Please join us in celebration of International Women’s Day 2020. 12.01.2022 TAFE Opportunities We are delighted to announce there will be two different trade taster programs available in Term 2, 2020. These programs are aimed at giving students a taste of life at TAFE Queensland and providing them with an informed choice on an apprenticeship pathway or with their selection of a VETiS-funded course in 2021.... 'Traditional' Trade Taster Program - this program offers a taster in the areas of Engineering, Electro-technology, Construction and Carpentry. Students will also gain a Construction Industry White Card. 'Services' Trade Taster Program - this program offers a taster in the areas of Commercial Cookery and Hairdressing trades Applications open on 09:00am on Monday 16 March 2020. Please download the course PDF documents using the below links for detailed information regarding both courses - Both programs start and finish within Term 2 - Students attend one full day per week on a designated delivery day - Students gain several units of competency but do not gain a full qualification - This course does not exhaust VETiS funding - Attendances are logged by TAFE Queensland and available to schools through Pathways Please refer to the program information PDFs for timetables and other information Please ensure you have read PDF documents for both courses prior for further information.
