20.01.2022 Thinking of contributing as a business Much the same as contributing as an individual, contributing as a business is 100% tax deductable and all contributions will be receipted as donations. The difference we are offering here is that for all corporate donations, we will replace the decal if the individual contributor, with a company logo. This represents a great opportunity for your business, or business’s that you share a relationship with to gain public recognition of your... support to not only my chosen cause, but also be seen by the wider public through the event itself and the media it generates. Given the current economic climate, when we receive corporate donations there won’t be a minimum or maximum donation amount, but we will definitely recognise contributions and car exposure based on what you see as appropriate to you and your individual circumstances. For business’s looking to make a substantial contribution, we will be in touch to discuss how we can further display your support in the form of email address’s, contact numbers, Facebook links and other contact information or logos. For all corporate donations please make to the following account, using your business name as the reference. You will then need to provide us with a hi-res pdf version of your logo that you want displayed on the vehicle for the event. Please send this to; [email protected] Please also feel free to contact me directly on 0401 070 752 if you would like to discuss. We will approve tour artwork and take care of the rest.. All donations are 100% tax deductable and a receipt is available directly through the Nepean Executive Office for taxation purposes. 19.01.2022 The event 24 Hours of Lemons The 24 hours of LeMons (Play on 24 Hours of Le Mans) is an endurance motorsport event run over 3 days, raising awareness and donations for Prostate Cancer and Breast Cancer Australia. The NSW version of the event is being held at Wakefield Park Raceway in Goulburn, on 23rd 25th October 2020. We have been given the opportunity to enter the event in support of the LeMons, but also to raise awareness and donations for the Nepean Cancer Care Cent...re, who have been the primary care facility during my treatment for cancer. The 24 Hours of LeMons is a series of endurance races held on paved road race courses across the United States and, since 2016, Australia and New Zealand. The series holds the Guinness World Record for the "Most participants in one race" (216 cars). The title is a parody of the long running annual 24 Hours of Le Mans race, and lemon cars. Teams of at least four drivers compete for up to 24 hours in race-prepared cars with a price limit, much like folkracing, of no more than US $500 for cars in the US series or AUD $999 in Australia. These races set themselves apart from the typical road race by the unusual penalties and punishments meted out by judges, as well as a blatant disregard for traditional motorsport politicking. The event is billed as a 24-hour endurance race. The event covers a weekend, and participants endure "scrutiny" and a number of qualifiers along with the main endurance race of varying total hours, depending on the venue. 11.01.2022 Thinking of contributing as an individual Friends of mine Shannon Wood, and Daniel have donated their racing car to enable me to compete in the event as part of team The Kelly Gang. They are covering all fees and costs associated with running the car in the event totalling more than $8000.00 so far. Truly an amazing effort guys. That means that we are able to receive donations from friends, family and the wider public with 100% of the money received going to support the Ne...pean Cancer Care Clinic. What can you do? All support shown, be it financial or other is greatly appreciated, but for those that are able to contribute financially, for every $25.00 AUD donation made, we will put the name of that individual on the car in recognition of their contribution. This means that if you contribute $25.00 then your first and last name will be displayed on the car in the form of a decal for the event. You are able to have multiple names on the car to represent different family members or contributors, by simply making multiple donations. Example being a family of 4 can make a total $100.00 donation and have either The XXX Family or 4 x individual names by making 4 separate donations of $25.00. You can also request to not have your name displayed of course. This is entirely up to you. For all personal donations please make to the following account, using your full name as the reference. This reference will be the name used for the decal displayed on the car for the event. If you don’t want the name displayed, simply write NO NAME as the reference. St George Bank Ltd BSB 112 879 ACC 448127430 REF First and Last Name or NO NAME All donations are 100% tax deductable and a receipt is available directly through the Nepean Executive Office for taxation purposes.
11.01.2022 My Story You know your body. Listen to it While the official date of my cancer diagnosis was the 6th of April 2020, my journey started in November 2019 when I felt a change in my body that I wasn’t comfortable with. I had recently returned from an overseas trip, where I had a chest infection, and noticed a residual pain that wouldn’t go away regardless of continued antibiotics and other health advice from several doctors. We tried many different treatments and explored as ...Continue reading
