24.01.2022 This week’s challenge is seeing how many foul shots you can make in a row without missing. TIPS: Stick to the same routine on each foul shot. Keep your routine short and simple.... Good luck!

22.01.2022 Geelong United have released information for players interested in playing representative basketball in the coming VJBL season. The link will direct you to parent information and registration. Players registering please send an email to the club enabling us to follow your progress.

22.01.2022 Gerlong United has confirmed the start of Summer Season 2021 (for juniors & seniors) has been confirmed to commence the week of November 30th. Games will be played up to December 19th for the Christmas break. Registration details will be released shortly.

20.01.2022 This week’s challenge is a bit different in that we are using a tennis ball to work on our hand eye coordination. You’ll need a tennis ball and a chair. Sit on ...the chair (some may need to sit forward on the edge of their chair) with room to move your legs. Your legs will need to do a scissor a motion. Right leg forward and left leg back, bounce the ball between your legs, then scissor your left leg forward and right leg back, bounce the ball back through your legs. Set a timer for 1 minute and see how many you can do. Each bounce counts as 1. TIPS: Try to keep the same rhythm. Use your hand to gently control the ball but don’t grab it out of the air. See more

20.01.2022 CC Eagles Basketball Club Walk/Run to Cairns. We have arrived in Griffith, welcomed by Cairns Taipans head coach Mike Kelly. Following Mike's college career he spent time with the Griffith Demons. We look forward to seeing Mike, NBL Coach of the year (2020) and Jamie in Cairns soon. Thank you Mike.

05.01.2022 This week’s challenge is seeing how many continuous lay ups you can make in a minute, AKA the Mikan Drill. No dribbling is required. Start under the ring and take 1 step with your left foot to the right-hand side of the ring and make a right-hand layup. Rebound your shot and take 1 step with you right foot to the left-hand side of the ring and make a left-hand layup. Continue this repeatedly on both hands. Set a timer for 1 minute and see how many lay ups you can make in that... time. TIPS: Always keep your eyes up and on your target. Use your backboard and aim for the corner of the little square. Use you left hand to shoot on the left side and Right on the right side. Jump and get up high when you shoot. Good luck!

04.01.2022 Resumption of Basketball at Bellarine is not far away.Club registration details will be sent to families when BPBA registrations open Tuesday November 10th. Geelong no advice has been provided as yet. Won't be too long before we get everyone back on the courts safely. Please note that return to competition date may change due to Government restrictions.

03.01.2022 CC Eagles Walk/Run to Cairns. We have arrived in Benalla where we are welcomed by Tom Downie (born Benalla) who played under 17 Basketball World Championships before switching to football. Drafted by GWS in 2011 national draft. Thank you Tom.
