24.01.2022 I can only share one video at a time! Here come the rest..

24.01.2022 Welcome aboard and THANK YOU to our new Corporate Sponsor Airways Aviation - Australia We are so appreciative of your generous support! www.ccela-orphanage.com//major-sponsor-spotlight-airways-a

23.01.2022 A beautiful video of young Sebla who was given the honour of naming ‘Belle’. Wouldn’t it be fabulous if we could tell her that her beautiful story helped raise the much needed $ to help provide a loving home for Belle! Please share and let’s see how much awareness and support we can get in response to Seblas video! Just $5 from everyone who is able to help would be amazing!

22.01.2022 please support!

22.01.2022 Thanks to Riverside Quality Meats for continuing to support CCELA by hosting one of our donation boxes! I have just collected it and you have contributed $52.10! If anyone else would like to host a donation box, I have a couple looking for a new home!

20.01.2022 Remember Belle? Well some good news is that she has been adopted by a local family! Belle went to her new family yesterday. Thanks to those who helped with donations for Belle, it allowed us to be able to take her in. This is such a wonderful outcome for her.

19.01.2022 More news! Melat who is 4 has also been adopted by a local family. We are so happy for Melat and her new family. She will be missed by the other children and staff at CCELA as she has been with us for a little while now. Just look at that happy face!

19.01.2022 Some exciting news for CCELA! Sharon Yaxley is going to donate 40% of sales from this wonderful book to help the children at CCELA. This book is designed for the reader to use their imagination and find ‘sea monsters’ in the images! What a great book to have for home schooling times!! If you would like to support CCELA please head to either the Dunstan and Theodore FB page and send a message to Sharon who will be able to take your order! The children at CCELA have also been fortunate to have been gifted some of Sharons books.

16.01.2022 Toby! Its been a while since we have updated you about little Toby who is now 4 years old. Toby has a medical condition and is susceptible to broken bones. Poor Toby is now recovering from a fractured leg which happened in his bed and has kept him bedridden for 2 months. I am happy to say that he is now on the road to recovery and is in good spirits. Toby steals many hearts, he is king of the kids, he loves the older children and they love him too. Ephrem has said that ...Toby is very smart but now needs to go to school so we are looking into some options at the moment. there are a couple of schools very close to the orphanage, however they cost 1500 birr per month to send him there. We are seeking a sponsor for Toby, or even several sponsors would be wonderful. We understand that times are difficult for so many at the moment, however if you can spare a few $ on a regular basis this would help Toby immensely and keep his bright mind challenged. As we all know Education really is the key to the future for our children and is the one thing that can really change these kids lives for the future . As you can see all the children are happy and as always have a smile on their faces. See more

15.01.2022 Welcome to CCELA Yeabtsega who was 41 days old on 7 November. Little Yeab’s mother is a 23 year old homeless lady who is currently in a mental hospital and is quite unwell. She is very sick and has no one other than some friends to look out for her. We hope that we can find a local family to adopt Yeab, in the meantime he will Be loved and nurtured by all at CCELA!... If you can help us with funds to care for Yeab it would be very much appreciated. It is going to be some time before we can get on a plane and to back over, such a shame when we have so much aid here. Our only option for support is to continue to fundraise and continue to be able to cover the costs for all the children. As always we appreciate so much the support we receive . See more

15.01.2022 An update from CCELA. Even during difficult times at the orphanage they are thinking of others. Soap and clothes were delivered to the elderly. The government are arresting anyone not wearing face masks, the economy is declining and everything is getting expensive! These are tough times for so many, yet why is it that a country with beautiful people have to experience even more hardship? If you can help, please reach out, we need to keep supporting as much as we can.

13.01.2022 It’s here!! Purchase a RAFFLE ticket and help us support CCELA. Times are tough for so many with the COVID situation, yet for our friends in Ethiopia they are doing it pretty tough. We thought some extra support may lighten the burden and offer some hope in what is a challenging time for the orphanage. Thankyou to the generosity of Giovanna Aryafara who has kindly donated the most amazing first prize! And to Dunstan and Theodore for the beautiful and interactive Sea Monsters... book. Tickets are $5 each. To purchase simply send us a message and we can provide bank details for payment. And if anyone would like some tickets to sell we would be most grateful to have some help! We have the attached flyer we can send you as well as a book of tickets. Draw date to be confirmed See more

12.01.2022 If only we had $1 for every "like"... CCELA costs approximately $6,000 AUD per month to run, with part of this money funding the school aged children to attend a private school where they are pushed to learn (and boy they are very dedicated to learning and study hard!) and continually improve their grades. We may be just a drop in the ocean combatting the overall orphan crisis in Ethiopia, but we are most certainly making an immeasurable difference to our 12 children at CCEL...A. The children we care for at CCELA have previously suffered so much trauma and rejection in their short lives, and it is amazing to see how much a safe, loving, secure environment is allowing the children (all 12 of them) to become confident and see hope for their future. But we need your HELP! We need 200 people to sponsor CCELA at $40 AUD per month. Please don't just like our page and our posts, take the next step. Become a sponsor. Donate today. While you're online, set up a monthly transfer to CCELA. Here's our details: Bank: Westpac Account Name: CCELA BSB: 037-608 Account No: 689538 Swift: WPACAU2S If you can't afford $40 a month yourself, grab a few friends to split the cost. Or just donate whatever you can personally. It all helps. We promise you, $1 a day means more to these children than it will ever mean to you. THANK YOU!!

12.01.2022 A big shout out to The Sports Arena for hosting one of our donation boxes. Another $32.85 going to CCELA orphanage. Very timely with the world in crisis, and for a country like Ethiopia to be affected with something like this on top of their current hardships is just terrible. The girls at the orphanage are all very worried as we all are, yet they still smile and get on with their exams and school work from their home. Thanks to each and everyone one of you who continue to support!

12.01.2022 This brightened my day, I hope it does yours too! In saying that, a very important message delivered by the lovely S’nqua. We are all scared, imagine how our friends in Ethiopia are feeling. Life is so much harder for them at the best of times, yet they are always thinking of those who continue to support them!

11.01.2022 Monster Garage Sale 93 Penrith Street, Riverside. 8am to 12 noon Please come along and support us.

11.01.2022 $20.10 from these little not much use for anything else coins!!! Such an easy way to help out! If anyone would like to join us in saving their 5c coins to continue helping with Children at Ccela every single coin will be gratefully accepted! Merry Xmas to you all

07.01.2022 CCELA welcomes a new addition to the family. Meet beautiful baby Belle . Belle is 2 months old and was found abandoned today. Belle was denied entry to the Government Orphanage as she hadn’t been COVID-19 tested. Belle spent the day in a police car as they searched for a home, eventually arriving at CCELA. We have quarantined Belle and will ensure she receives the medical attention she requires along with all the love and stability CCELA provides. Please support the children at CCELA and donate today.

07.01.2022 A huge Thankyou to Louise, Glen and staff NewsXpress Newstead for continuing to host one of our donation boxes - just emptied it and $90.65 has been collected, so a big thanks to your customers From all at CCELA

05.01.2022 Here are the toddlers singing Brother Jacob in Amharic. Just beautiful!

03.01.2022 Tour de FHaT riders raise over $1600 for CCELA - a belated thank you to Tyler Reeves and the crew of riders for their fundraising efforts! www.ccela-orphanage.com/post/cycle-for-ccela-raises-1600

03.01.2022 Thanks everyone who has so far reached out to assist us with funds to get our younger children started at school! Ephrem is going to enroll all the children who are ready to begin their schooling and will provide us with an update once they have started. The children will also need uniforms and school items, so if anyone is wanting to do a one off donation, we would be most grateful. Looking forward to being able to post an update on the children once school starts

01.01.2022 After the post seeking a sponsor for Toby, we have had a little interest and some offers of assistance which is wonderful and very heartening for us all. Ephrem has just told me that there are 3 other children who are going to be ready for school very soon, so even if you cant sponsor one specific child, we are more than happy for any contribution to help us ensure all the children start their education as early as possible. Some of the older children were not in school until much later due to their circumstances, so they are now quite a few years behind where they should be. We would love to be able to offer the younger ones this opportunity so even a regular donation of $5 or $10 per month will help. My workplace has a few girls who put in $5 each fortnight which they dont miss, so please consider any amount no matter how much.
