12.01.2022 Earlier in the year, the Fair Work Commission announced a 1.75% increase to the national minimum wage and award minimum wages. This increase was introduced with a staggered approach across three different groups of awards. The increase to the Group 2 Awards has now occurred, and should be applied to all wages paid to employees covered by these awards in the first full pay period commencing on or after November 1 2020.... The increase to the remaining Group 3 Awards will occur on 1 February 2021. Do you need help interpreting awards or need to check if you are meeting your obligations? CCIQ can help, go to cciq.com.au for more information.

11.01.2022 Queensland needs a health plan for our economy. As our latest Pulse survey shows, 99% of Qld businesses are unsure of their ability to continue operating beyond 12-months when stimulus support ends. CCIQ's CEO Stephen Tait explains to remedy this and to secure the health and safety of our communities, the next elected government must hit the ground running and start by;... Easing restrictions to allow businesses to operate viably; Generating a consistent approach to any future and ongoing border closures; and Creating certainty by actioning proposed policies which will benefit SMEs. CCIQ will be keeping the pressure on, as we need this health plan for our economy. As the safety and wellbeing of communities, businesses and the thousands of Queenslanders employed by small businesses are relying on it.
