21.01.2022 Hi folks The Riverwoods Downs Weekend is 17th, 18th and 19th August. You may stay as long or as little as you like. I have camped there for 2 weeks in the past. Please ring up and book your own accommodation. The accommodation is pretty basic and quite expensive for what you get, however you are paying for the whole place to be maintained not just your rooms. You may bring your family, friends or pets. Just a warning you have to pay the full amount at the time of booking. Als...o please feel free to organise BBQ get togethers/ workshops photoshoots with other members. I will organise a night shoot on the Saturday night, and indoor portrait shoots/Lightroom/Photoshop held on the Saturday/Sunday. Michelle’s Kids will be there so feel free to take their photos, get some group shots as well. Please bring your camera gear, including lenses, flash, filters and most importantly a tripod. Maybe bring your camera manual as well if you would like help with any settings. Also bring your laptop. You will have to bring your own food if you want to self cater, there is a shop at Stroud you can stop in on the way, very reasonably priced. They have a small shop with a few items on site at Riverwood. You can purchase coffee and food at the cafe and the restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner, not too sure about lunch. I like to make a few meals before I go to save time. Bring warm clothes and a torch, wet weather gear/umbrella, extra shoes as they may get wet, and a cover for your camera just in case. If you like hiking you can go up over the hill, which overlooks the farm and very nice you can also go to any area of the farm. If you have kids you can book a cow milking demo or book in for a horse ride or massage. Please introduce yourself to everyone in the group, The CCLCCC and The Entrance are both invited, I would like everyone to mingle with both clubs please. You are welcome to arrange to go on shoots with groups, please make the invitation to everyone. Some may like to go to the River, while others may like the hill hike. There are various BBQ areas and fire pit areas, you may like to organise some firewood, then bring some marshmallows, wine and beer and have a campfire chat. For those who have bad backs maybe bring your own chairs as it can get uncomfortable sitting on logs. I found the motel rooms quite dark, like many hotel/motel rooms everywhere, never enough light for old people. Bring either a big torch or electric light. There is limited wifi there now. Please PM me if you have any questions. Clyde would like to share a bunkhouse if anyone is interested, please contact him at the club, or via me. Just check I am pretty sure you have to bring your own bedding to the bunkhouse. Cheers Denise See more

18.01.2022 For those who would like a bit of a challenge during the xmas break, why not see how your images go on Gurushots. It is just a game so do not take it seriously. However I do use it to see how my images go before I print or enter them in club or International comps. It also gives you many ideas. Warning it is addictive. LOL https://gurushots.com/

This is a great opportunity for any New Members or Visitors to ask questions about our Club and Competitions.
