19.01.2022 Yesterday afternoon, the Federal Government outlined their $130B JobKeeper wage subsidy program for full-time, part-time and casual workers whose employment has... been impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic. Its a good start, but the Government needs to do more to support the other workers in our industry whose employment may be effected during this health crisis. Your Union will not stop fighting until proper financial support is secured for all our members, and no-one is left behind. 12.01.2022 National Sorry Day, May 26 2020 makes 23 since the Bringing Them Home Report which was tabled following the National Inquiry into the separation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from their families and communities. It is an important date; a time to remember the Stolen Generations, their descendants, communities and the ongoing healing of intergenerational trauma. We cannot begin to fix ongoing current issues without accepting the truth of our history.

It is vital that we all play a part in raising awareness and understanding around complex trauma. Chronic trauma can include repeated physical or sexual abuse, emotional abuse, neglect, bullying and harassment, and also events such as war, torture or going t...hrough a natural disaster, such as last summer’s bushfires.
