23.01.2022 Further recognition from the industry. The Marrickville Library project is shortlisted by the National Jury of The Australian Institute of Architects in the 2020 National Architecture Awards for 2 two categories Public Architecture and Sustainability. It was CD Construction Group’s pleasure to be part of this iconic project. Well done to Inner West Council, Mirvac Constructions, BVN Architecture and all our other project partners.

19.01.2022 PROJECT UPDATE: Vedalia, one of our latest construction projects, is a high-end residential project with 3 levels of 13 luxurious apartments. This building boasts high speed internal lifts, 2 levels of basement parking and storage, beautifully detailed external landscaping and a roof level penthouse that comes with an extensive green roof and a private lift. Its common lobby area has a 4.5m high ceiling, 3m long skylight and an extensive glass louvre system that adds a touch of luxury to the overall build.

08.01.2022 The Marrickville Library project is about integrating new and re-used historic buildings as well as merging the boundary of internal and external space into one. CD Construction Group is pleased to have worked alongside our Design Partners BVN Architecture on this iconic development. Congratulations to BVN on winning the 2020 NSW Architecture Awards Award for Public Architecture by The Australian Institute of Architects on this amazing project. They also took out the prestigious NSW Premier’s Prize and the Milo Dunphy Award for Sustainable Architecture. Nice work team!

07.01.2022 Due for completion in early 2021, the upgrade of the iconic St Stephen's Uniting Church on Macquarie Street is a unique project given its heritage status. From the improvement of accessibility including the installation of a lift over 3 split levels to creating new doorways with existing sandstone blocks for an ornate archway, we are looking forward to a finish of authenticity that maintains the original design.

07.01.2022 One of our latest projects that will be completed by the end of August is the pavement works at Woolworths' Yennora Distribution Centre. This design and construct contract involves the demolition of the existing carpark and the construction of a new heavy vehicle roadway, line markings as well as soft landscaping.

07.01.2022 Just announced last Wednesday is another award for Marrickville Library. This stunning project won the first prize for the Australian Timber Design Awards 2020! With the use of timber inside out from its columns, facade to ceilings, joinery and more, this building is simply spectacular. CD Construction Group is honored to be part of such an iconic project. Congratulations to BVN Architecture, Taylor Thomson Whitting (TTW), Mirvac Constructions, Inner West Council and all our other project partners.

05.01.2022 One of our recently completed retail design and construct projects is a new IGA store in Walgett, NSW. With a rural and remote location creating significant challenges in relation to procurement and scheduling of materials, time and construction management were crucial in delivering this project. Great to service all parts of this great state.

05.01.2022 In what are the final stages prior to completion, this private residence in Mosman is a beautiful example of timber and glass working together seamlessly. This week the roof has finally been completed allowing for a projected handover date in early 2021.

04.01.2022 Aiming to complete this high end residential project in Double Bay by early 2021, CD Construction Group is pleased to be the Principal Contractor of Vedalia.

03.01.2022 PROJECT UPDATE: Celebrating a huge milestone on the Vedalia project at Double Bay as we complete our first major pour marking the commencement of our main structure works! Located in close proximity to Sydney Harbour, critical waterproofing prior to the pour was essential to accommodate for the low high water table. Our B2 Hydrostatic Slab Pour required an installation of over 40 tonnes of reinforcement prior to pouring the concrete and took 13 hours to complete. Great job to everyone involved!
