14.01.2022 To all our valued community members Coonamble District Funeral Service (CDFS) is still operating a midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. The CAHS CEO and Board are monitoring all Government announcements and as indicated by Government, gatherings larger than 100 people will be monitored. ... This means that if you have a funeral organised, we respectfully request that the family organiser of the funeral coordinate the gathering and keep the numbers less than 100. CDFS understands the complexities around this request however, it is a requirement that CDFS have to comply with. As awkward as it is for us to deliver this news to community, during the lead up to any funeral, our business needs to be compliant with all regulatory announcements during this time and it is not our intention to offend people during a families time of need. You will also notice that staff at CDFS will be using protective wear during this pandemic whilst at a funeral. Finally, CDFS at this time will only conduct funeral service in Coonamble until such time as the pandemic eases. We apologise for any inconvenience. 06.01.2022 To our valued community, clients and families, due to last night’s announcement by the Prime Minister Scott Morrison in relation to gatherings, CDFS are under strict instructions that should you have a funeral organised through us that we are advised that there is to be no more than 10 people present at this funeral. If it is the case that you do want to attend, we respectfully request that you remain in your vehicle at all times and through consultation with immediate famil...y, you will need to organise how best to say your goodbyes. Again, this is the Government’s position on gatherings and unfortunately CDFS has to comply with these directions legally during this COVID-19 pandemic. CDFS understands that this extreme measures at a time of loss and grief however, the implications of large gatherings could be catastrophic if not complied with. Although we understand the complexities and sensitivity around this request, we ask you to respect our decision as difficult as this is to deliver. Should you have any questions, please contact us immediately. This message is authorised by the CAHS CEO Phil Naden and the Board of Directors.
