25.01.2022 Lord, you know I like to bake, That velvety rich chocolate cake, Covered with icing, I never stop Until chocolate curls adorn the top.... Lord, you know I like to bake, Custard slices and biscuits make, With fruit, nuts and choc. chips, Though they all linger on my hips Lord, you know I like to bake, (I say it's for my family's sake), Apple pies and cheesecake too, And dumplings in the Irish stew. Lord, you know I like to bake, But I need to curb my intake, Pavlova, a delicious sugary fluff, I never seem to have enough. Lord, a special favour I shall ask, It would only be a simple task, You who changed water into wine, Dissolve those calories when I dine! Written by Vivien Wade

24.01.2022 Why has the NDIA increased prices by 10 per cent - but not increased plans by the same amount? Why has the cancellation policy changed? How much support is it r...easonable to expect families to provide - particularly at the moment? And what on earth is happening with iPads? These are just some of your questions that we put to NDIA CEO Martin Hoffman. You can check what he had to say below. #NDISMakeItWork

17.01.2022 Quick supermarket update: Woolworths have updated their website to include a new "priority assistance" feature. People who are eligible for priority assist are:... elderly people with disability people who are self isolating people with compromised immune systems. Woolies says it will prioritise these groups for home delivery. You have to fill in a form, and the website says it might take up to 48 hours to process applications. You can also call 1800 000 610 for help. You can find the form here - https://www.woolworths.com.au//discover/priorityassistance Woolies have also extended the number of items that are restricted to one or two items per customer. You can see the full list on their website - https://www.woolworths.com.au//community/stock-level-update? While we know this won't help everyone it is good to see that they are responding to everyone's concerns earlier in the week. (Image descriptions: 1. A picture of the Woolworths website and their "priority assist" webpage. There are lots of tabs at the top for different supermarket items and a big picture of an older couple in the middle of the page. 2. A screenshot of the Wooworths website homepage in a computer browser. We added a big red circle over the Priority Assistance button so it's a bit easier to find. It's the second button after the carousel of images and writing at the top of the page. 3. A screenshot of the Wooworths website homepage from a smartphone browser. We added a big red circle over the Priority Assistance button there too so it's a bit easier to find. It's the second button after the carousel of images and writing at the top of the page. We don't think there's a button on the App)
