23.01.2022 How things change suddenly Last night we had to say goodbye to our beautiful Cearadale Elkanah 1995-2020 as she was laid to rest. This fairytale Simeon Stav daughter from our foundation mare Arjai Lucinda was one of three magical full sisters. Elkanah was such a beautiful soul. We will miss you sweet girl.

17.01.2022 EXCITING NEWS FROM CEARADALE ARABIANS. Thanks to the generosity of Carol Christensen, the wonderful SIMEON SAGIV will be visiting with us at Cearadale Arabians this coming season. Simeon Sagiv (Simeon Samuel imp x Simeon Sarita) aka 'Mac'. Mac while getting on in years will be covering some of our beautiful mares. Mac turns 23 this year so we hope he stays healthy and fertile for his stay. It is exciting that we are able to bring back the blood of Simeon Samuel into our ...breeding program via Mac's sire line as well as the beautiful lines of his dam which include Aswan and Estopa. 17.01.2022 While we wait for the elusive rains, and also waiting for this years foals to arrive. We have had to change our breeding plans for 2021. So happy for some exciting news amongst all the dirt, heat and dust Firstly, we have Cearadale Shailaah (Maf-Ue Shaienne x Cearadale Saaraya) who has tested positive in foal to the Amazing CJ (Chelleason Crown Jewel).

12.01.2022 Ralvon Pilgrim Aussie Ambassador It takes plenty of conviction, dedication, time and expense to take your horse overseas to compete against the best in the w...orld. But that’s just what Ron and Val Males did in 1977, and did Australia proud. And if what one old timer has just told us is true, it makes it even more special. Forty years ago this year, the purebred Arabian stallion ‘Ralvon Pilgrim’, a prolific winner in Australia, became the first Australian Arabian to be shown overseas. The Males’ faith in him was justified when he was named Supreme International Champion at the 1977 Silver Jubilee Show at Ascot, England. And as we have just learned, he did it with great style. Apparently when he was sashed, and stood there with the ‘look of eagles’, the crowd erupted. The noise set off all the other finalists who began playing up, while Pilgrim just stood proudly. The more he stood, the more the crowd clapped and cheered and the more the other horses played up. Now whether that’s true or not, and we have no reason to think it isn’t, it was a wonderful achievement and what a great mental picture it creates. Ron and Val Males, of Windsor NSW, used a combination of their names to start Ralvon Stud in 1954, with the grey stallion Rikham [Rissam/Rafeena] who had been imported by Mr and Mrs Edward Hirst of Springmead Farm. Ralvon Pilgrim (1969-1992) was a son of Rikham, from Trix Silver, a Royal Domino mare. Val reportedly said as he was born, His name is Pilgrim because he is going to go a long way. Prophetic words. The Males had many, many show wins in Australia, and became prominent endurance riders and breeders. They were among the first to export horses to the United Arab Emirates. In 1966 Ron and Val Males offered to help Erica and R.M. Williams get the first "Quilty thing" off the ground. Ron went on to earn 20 Quilty Endurance Ride buckles, and 11 of these were riding their own homebred horses. Another milestone for the Males was in 1992, in the Middle East watching the first Australian-bred Arabian ‘Roynaz’ awarded the Best Desert Horse in both Abu Dhabi and Qatar Desert Rides. Their book, ‘Foaling - Broodmare and Foal Management’, is considered a foaling and broodmare care bible by many in the industry. 02.01.2022 With the recent loss of our last Simeon Stav progeny, it stirred up a lot of memories. Memories of the first born of this magical cross of Simeon Stav and Arjai Lucinda. This being the male version PEARSONS STATISTIC. Statistic aka Statty came to us at Cearadale as a colt beside his dam. He was our very first Stallion and what a Gem he was. Together we created so many wonderful memories. Broken in by myself and later trained to perfection by Mr Geoff Lyall, he went f...rom a winner and champion under saddle to a halter champion and a consistent sire. Many fun times were had at his breeders stud Don and Carmel Rowley’s stud Pearsons View Arabians, even a photo shoot with international photographer Gigi Grasso, however though all this, the best part about Statty was his beautiful temperament. (All our Stav progeny had the best natures, so gentle and endearing). Sold in 2002 as an eleven year old stallion he still holds a piece of our heart. We are so grateful to the Keep family for providing his forever home in Tasmania, who love and adore him as much as we do. See more
