13.01.2022 Premium lump olive wood charcoal burning in slow cooker

10.01.2022 We've bought a charcoal slow cooker to experiment with our olive wood lump charcoal. These cattlemen steaks (Tomahawk Steaks to those in the USA) were smoked using the reverse sear method. They were simply seasoned in salt, pepper and olive oil, smoked over a low heat for a few hours, then wrapped in foil to rest. The cooker's temperature was raised to over 500 degrees C and the steaks quickly seared for about 1 minute on each side before serving. Result: beautifully cooked steaks that were moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. Cedar Gully Olives buys fresh meat from Homebush Farm. We'll be selling our premium lump olive wood charcoal at the Mulgowie Markets tomorrow.

04.01.2022 Cedar Gully Olives has just done a burn to make our quality olive wood lump charcoal. This will be on sale at the Mulgowie Farmers' Markets on 2 November.
