25.01.2022 In times of no studio lessons we have to get creative! Made these for my dancers with common corrections, but feel free to share <3

25.01.2022 Some of our fabulous dancers performed for the Whitsundays Arts Festival at beautiful Airlie Beach, with the Mackay and district Pipe Band today! Glorious location with beautiful weather for a fling!

24.01.2022 Sending our warmest wishes to all dancers and their families, for a happy & healthy Easter

22.01.2022 THE YEAR 2000. Brisbane hosted the Highland Dancing Champion of Champions Championship. 20 years ago. Three of our Premier level Ceilidh dancers represented our studio and we laughed a lot, so fun!

22.01.2022 Congratulations to Matilda who has been selected in the OzScot Junior Development Squad. Today she attended the workshop in Brisbane and is thoroughly enjoying learning the choreography!

20.01.2022 30 YEARS AGO. In Brisbane 1990, the Ceilidh Dance Studio attended the very prestigious Highland Champion of Champions Championship. Our dancers had a lot of fun on that weekend and the memories still make us smile after all these years. Highest achievement for the studio was being awarded 6th in the COC championship! Was very exciting!!!!

19.01.2022 Such an exciting weekend for our Ceilidh Dancers! Today our Irish Dancers competed in a Feis. It was fabulous to see everyone back in costumes after such a long break because of COVID-19. Tomorrow the highland dancers will finally be able to complete their exams. So many happy dancers

19.01.2022 Happy St Paddy’s Day! Flash back to 1988!

17.01.2022 The secret to happiness is Highland dancing on Tuesday’s!

17.01.2022 Very excited to receive our excellent exam results and now for a well deserved two week break!

16.01.2022 On this day 8 years ago! The best memories are made at dance camp!

14.01.2022 There’s a lot of disappointment this year for many people, due to cancellations because of the Coronavirus pandemic. This includes Matilda who was invited to dance in the New Zealand Military Tattoo due to be on this weekend. She worked so hard on learning a lot of new choreography for the event that it is a shame not to share some. We really hope another opportunity comes around again for her. Enjoy this backyard video where we can pretend it’s in a huge stadium.

12.01.2022 Today was supposed to be our Annual Mackay Eisteddfod Highland Dancing session. But this year we will have to make do with remembering the past years and reflecting on all the great memories we have. Hopefully we can dance on that big stage again some day soon!

11.01.2022 We are all on hold for now and staying at home. Everyone should keep practicing on Tuesday afternoon just like normal routine. Our dancers are learning exam theory and sending in videos of themselves practicing for the exam. Our little team will miss each other, so sharing our video’s can help make everyone smile! I Feel Better When I’m Dancing

11.01.2022 AND we are back to the studio!!! Was wonderful to see these happy highland dancers today after 11.5 weeks apart. Great lessons full of energy, enjoyment and love of highland dance.

10.01.2022 ON THIS DAY 10 YEARS AGO - The Ceilidh Dancers were attending the Champion of Champions Highland Dancing competition/championship in Caloundra, Queensland. Great memories were made that weekend and we will just have to wait a little longer than expected for the next one!

09.01.2022 We just love our Saturday classes- today’s challenge was a physically distanced propelled pivot turn with a partner! (We also have the cleanest barres I’ve ever seen!)

08.01.2022 Even though our highland dancing Competition Calendar has been suspended until 2021, our dancers have been working hard to complete their SDAA Examinations. Congratulations to all our lovely girls, it’s a wonderful achievement!

03.01.2022 What a wonderfull weekend we had at our Ceilidh Dance Camp. Seaforth Pines was a great place to dance our little hearts out. Beach time came alive with our fabulous sandcastle competition followed by the night concert with lots of laughs. Thanks to our older students who have lead by example to our younger dancers in so many ways, that is what makes these moments so special. We all left camp feeling very greatfull for our Ceilidh family! #seaforthpines #ceilidhdancestudiomackay

02.01.2022 LIFE IS BETTER WHEN YOU HIGHLAND DANCE!

01.01.2022 Dabbing in class today because we are very excited to be back to our normal Tuesday afternoon highland classes! Yay!
