23.01.2022 I always arrive about an hour before the wedding to check the set-up and sound levels and meet and chat with other vendors, but sometimes I'm by myself for one last read through! Photo cred to: Keiran Bray-Norgate

23.01.2022 This is what to do after you have just got hitched to the one you love and your witnesses are busy signing documents with your celebrant - snuggle on the piano stool and take selfies! Big love to you two sweethearts - I was so thrilled to marry you yesterday.

23.01.2022 Take a look at my new Blog post - we need something uplifting to think about right now! Sue x

22.01.2022 This is what getting married in a pandemic can look like! #maskspoiler Tim and Pedro signed it off on a wintery Saturday morning in a little country church building that may not have seen a wedding for at least 50 years. Their ceremony was a celebration of love and commitment between two people, promising to love and look after each other for the rest of their lives. ... We found a venue (sorry, you can't get married at home!) and two witnesses (no, your witnesses can't travel up from Melbourne in Stage 4 lockdown!). We swept out the old church when our plans for an outdoor ceremony seemed overly optimistic and my two beautiful friends, Alison and Louise, stepped in as witnesses (and took some lovely pics!). We finally had everything we needed and it was a perfect, joyous celebration that I will never forget. All you need, really.

22.01.2022 The sun came out (finally) and the ducks were swimming past on our dam as Hayley and Bhisma made it legal during a global pandemic. They came out with their 2 besties as witnesses and we had it all signed off in about 10 minutes. It might be a different way to do things, but I sense it might be like this for a while. I'll still look after you and do anything I can to make your wedding ceremony special and memorable. Love isn't cancelled. (Can't wait to end these ceremonies with a big hug though - I miss that!)

21.01.2022 Meetings with scones are great but for a week like this last one, a stiff drink might be called for! I feel for you if you're trying to plan a wedding right now and not sure how many you can invite. #alwayshaveplanB

20.01.2022 CONNECTING, STORYTELLING, SHARING! I cant wait to get back to this! As wedding guest numbers slowly creep up (20 guests are allowed at weddings from 1 June) I am excited about getting back.... I've noticed an increased optimism and new wedding bookings for the end of this year and well into 2021 are starting to come through. Thanks to mighty talent and ever so lovely @carmenbuntingphotography for snapping me in action @suttongrangewinery. Did you know that lemon scented gums are my favourite tree? Just look at that bark! 18.01.2022 Post ceremony pic, Covid style! Angela and James got married yesterday on the most perfect of Autumn days. It wasn't easy sailing in the lead up. They had always planned an intimate wedding with two witnesses only - great, low stress option - until a global pandemic hit. Their venue closed, a witness from overseas couldn't travel, wedding rings were hard to come by as businesses were closed and they almost pulled the pin. We found a new venue, new witness,... and with a creative approach to sourcing their rings it went ahead as planned. I couldn't have been happier. The only thing missing was a big congratulatory hug at the end. Big love for the future, Angela and James! Thanks to Jamie who took this pic on my phone. See more

18.01.2022 DESTINATION WEDDING ANYONE? It's going to be a long time before anyone is heading off overseas to get married, so this beauty may be just what you are looking for. Located only minutes from Bendigo, it's a romantic spot for an elopement or micro wedding. Stay for the weekend with 6 of your besties and pretend you are in Tuscany (oh, but don't look when the kangaroos hop down to the dam in the evening!) I was lucky to do some secret marrying here recently and meet the ever so lovely owner, Denise. Check it out.

17.01.2022 What joy it brings to look back over pre Corona wedding snaps, like this gorgeous image taken just after Jen and Danny tied the knot @gallerycafebendigo. Was that only at the start of March!? Life at home is fine for me - I have my hubby, my dog, the bush, books, Netflix, beautiful food and a couple of boxes of good wine, but how I miss the vibe of those love fest celebrations! Thanks to Ildi from @ildikophotography for cheering me up and for being such a delight to work with - see you on the other side!

17.01.2022 I know some great locations for elopements! Call me to chat if you are wanting to get married any time soon. (One month’s notice must be given) 0418375518

17.01.2022 Bush elopement anyone? One loved up couple, two witnesses, a celebrant and, if you're lucky, a kangaroo or two! Snapped this on our morning walk. Searching for beauty today was ticked off early. Call me: 0418375518

15.01.2022 Yes, I fix bridal trains too! Especially when the bride's mum is a previous owner of Bendigo Bridal Collections! Thanks for the action shot, Jess White Photography. (I love seeing what this legend puts together after sharing the joy of a wedding day together )

14.01.2022 Mick & Tash were married in their transformed garage last night. It looked very beautiful with candles, fresh flowers and an arbour (made by Mick) festooned with fairy lights. They streamed their wedding to New Zealand where lots of their family live and there was such a warm and loving vibe in that space. Technology I you!

13.01.2022 10/10/2020 Evengelene and Terence (with beautiful bub Edwin) had a sweet and simple elopement in the White Hills Gardens. The coolest wedding date of the year just happened to be available for them and I was excited that someone got to marry their love on that date. ... Sending my love to all those couples who had 10/10/2020 booked and are now #stillwaiting. It WILL happen, you WILL marry the love of your life and it will be very beautiful whenever that is.

10.01.2022 All celebrants are not the same - read my new blog about finding someone who is perfect for you! https://www.suebegg.com///choosing-your-marriage-celebrant

10.01.2022 It looks like weddings of 20 people are going to be with us for a while longer in Victoria. Elopement anyone? I'm happy to share one of my fave outlooks with you - perfect elopement spot and close to Bendigo. Here it is, looking especially gorgeous in the early morning mist.

10.01.2022 James and Emma sealed the deal with a kiss at their hilltop micro wedding overlooking Mt Alexander last month. . My ceremonies won't have archaic wording such as "you may now kiss your beautiful bride", although I'm all about two people who've just got married kissing each other!! #wordsarepowerful . Lewis Dutton was there to capture a special moment, thank you! ... . See more

09.01.2022 As we socially distance ourselves, I'd like to share a sweet moment at a recent wedding. These delightful cherubs started the processional at Sarah and Will's wedding a few short weeks ago @suttongrangewinery. Minutes before, one bub was crying and the other looked bewildered and about to join in. I went back to the front to do my preamble, the music started and then out they came like this! Meant to be! Gotta love the unpredictability of kids in weddings. And the champ on the lens, Jim @justinandjim will always be there to catch every beautiful moment.

09.01.2022 On a dreamy Saturday morning, 12 months ago, Rachel and Wayne made it legal in front of a select group of family and friends. The private garden on the edge of Castlemaine was the perfect setting for these two, who love farming and the outdoors. (I'm still crushing on that stone wall!) HAPPY ANNIVERSARY and I wish you many, many happy years together. Jess White Photography was also there to capture the moment. Thanks for this beauty!

09.01.2022 Some camping chairs, a circle of granite rocks, blue sky and a couple of eskies filled with cold bevs. . Perfect recipe for a relaxed micro wedding of 10 today! Not to mention the stunning view across to the Big Hill Range. . I put on my hiking boots and strolled here #couldntbehappier ... . See more

07.01.2022 During this pandemic, I've been constantly delighted by some of the lovely things that couples have brought to their micro weddings to make them special and memorable. While the big wedding template has been put on hold, it's time for creativity to shine; "necessity is the mother of invention" keeps springing to my mind. Declan and Sheena got married yesterday, in front of their nearest and dearest, in a sweet, romantic ceremony and were then picked up by their lovely neighb...our to be whisked home (not too far down the road) by horse and cart! What do you have in mind for your wedding? And don't forget to chat to us - celebrants have some great ideas too!

07.01.2022 Are you confused about the current restrictions around weddings in Victoria (but not Melbourne metro and Mitchell Shire)? Who isn't? This is my take on it after careful reading: Weddings in a venue = 20 guests (in addition to the couple, celebrant, photographer and any staff at the venue) Weddings at home (indoors or outdoors) = 5 additional visitors to the household only, plus the celebrant Weddings in a public space (like the fabulous Castlemaine Botanical Gardens) ...= TOTAL GATHERING OF 10 applies! Attending a wedding - You may leave your locked down suburb (or Mitchell Shire) to travel to a regional area of Victoria, but only if you are getting married, a witness or the celebrant Phew! Sending love today wherever it is needed.

06.01.2022 https://www.suebegg.com//sophie-daniel-country-wedding-wee I’ve been enjoying reliving Daniel and Sophie’s beautiful Spring wedding!

04.01.2022 This is what a wedding could look like right now and it is still a beautiful way to get married. Kellie and Lachie, I adored your Daylesford elopement last year and yes, I have been shedding a (happy) tear or two watching the video of your wedding ceremony! Photo cred to the lovely Christian from Whites and Woods Photography and Lincoln, from In the Vines Creative, your movie making skills are sublime!
