I’m hearing from lots of couples at the moment who have put their big days on hold, unsure what to do with friends and family unable to travel... So I’m just going to say it. A big wedding day is amazing...but it’s just one day. And as it’s the first day of your married lives together it’ll be a whole heap easier not to bankrupt yourselves from the get go.... Save your money for a 6-month travel break together (when this COVID mess is over), or for the deposit of your new home. Really build a marriage together by investing your time and money into it, and not just a one day party. Consider an intimate ceremony, streamed online to your greater family and friends. And use COVID as a perfect excuse not to invite your sister-in-laws Aunt, twice removed and 100 other people to your wedding day... Am I even allowed to say that..?!
