25.01.2022 A fun proposal with a difference...

25.01.2022 I particularly like number Six. J.P.s books are well worth chasing up and I also have articles referring to personal vows. This recent posting of J.P.s is certainly food for thought and worth a read.

25.01.2022 Last Saturday was the 1st anniversary of Kirsten and Matts wedding at Tatra. I went to post a picture and realised I had neither processed the pictures nor look...ed at the footage. I have since remedied that. Here is a shortened version (12 mins) of video I shot on the day including some pre & post pictures I took: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9YfqeucUSc #weddingsbyyourcelebrant #tatrareceptions #chapelweddings See more

23.01.2022 Last nights happy couple decided to have a surprise wedding for their guests. So at Karli's 40th Birthday bash. I entertained with roving magic, then during Karli's thankyou speech Brad proposed and announced that we would now be going ahead with a wedding there and then. I jumped back into action and officiated their ceremony to everyone's great surprise and a good time was had by all. #surpriseweddings #magicweddings #weddingsbyyourcelebrant

23.01.2022 Today at least two of my couples are celebrating anniversaries. Brittany and Matt (pictured) 3 yrs and David and Clare 5 yrs. Here is the Brady Bunch video I put together for D & C https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDehnJ3fW8I

23.01.2022 Here J.P. talks about weddings and their planning, and re-planning, the dates that change, and change again and what may help get you through these different, if not difficult times of adjustment to your plans. Well worth taking a look at.

23.01.2022 Another excellent blog by J.P. Food for thought. But its not just about you and your "Partner" it is how you deal with work mates, store-keepers, wait-staff, passer-byes, friends and of course yourself.

21.01.2022 Great advice and practical tips for dealing with your ceremony / wedding in these difficult times.

20.01.2022 More great news. Matt and Victoria I married one year ago today had a bub three weeks ago!!!! Congrats to all.

20.01.2022 I have just added three new blog posts containing information that was previously only available from me, directly to my couples. They contain ideas, inspiration and practical hints and tips for Grooms, Best men and Brides regarding delegation of roles and the writing of speeches: https://yourcelebrant.wordpress.com//best-man-live-up-to-/

19.01.2022 Thursday's ceremony was held in the gorgeous chapel at Poets Lane. Kara and Aaron chose a unity candle ritual (that wasn't without incident), two readings by their grandmothers, one of which was a very moving ode to her Grandson on his wedding day and they had me share some of their fun story which included Kara interrupting Aaron's proposal by asking if he was proposing. Here is a link to the shortened (12 min) video I shot on the day: https://youtu.be/BV0koZ8fhxI #weddingsbyyourcelebrant #poetslane

19.01.2022 I supply my couples with 5 pages of information regarding speeches. Making sure the Groom, the Best man and the Bride have a good understanding of their roll, the ideal length and even a few pre-written jokes. Here is a well written article that also covers the basics.

18.01.2022 Finished off today's Expo by cutting down our 30inch Just Married balloon and giving it to a young Chinese kid outside. Here is pic of him and his balloon. feeling happy.

18.01.2022 I've seen some creative ideas stemming from our recent restrictions. One of them "drive through" weddings. Seriously, you're not ordering takeaway, you're not swinging past a bottle shop on your way to a party. You're getting married. And although the novelty of staying in your car whilst you legally tie the knot may appeal to some there are, as there always has been, many other options. I have had the honour of conducting hundreds of weddings over the last 11 years. Many small, intimate ceremonies in my own home (or the couples home) So if you are looking for a small intimate ceremony in the near future or after restrictions have been lifted, I would be delighted to help you navigate the process. At the end you will be presented with a bottle of bubbly, not a serve of fries.

17.01.2022 The PLUS ONE scenario. Answered concisely and in my opinion correctly. If your invite asks you and no-one else then it means you're going it alone. #weddingetiquette #weddingsbyyourcelebrant #weddingadvice

16.01.2022 An update regarding one of the industry reps (A.B.I.A.) and treasury meeting to discuss weddings and the impact of the Covid 19 restrictions etc. One way the va...rious governments and couples could help wedding professionals get back on their feet would be if governments put a moratorium on registry office ceremonies and encouraged couples to use the services of private, small business - wedding professionals and if couples did so they would be directly benefiting small businesses and not be filling the coffers of governments any more than they currently do with their rates, taxes, gst and numerous other imposts and if would help the industry immensely and may actually save themselves money. 16.01.2022 Here are some good hints and tips from J.P. - Well worth taking a look at. Remember I also provide you with Groom, Bestman & Bride / Partner information sheets ...(with additional jokes etc) and have information regarding speeches / toasts on my blog which can be accessed here: https://yourcelebrant.wordpress.com//grooms-speech-prepar/ See more

16.01.2022 Yesterdays low-key affair in my home. Nyajima and David tied the knot and I took a few happy snaps afterwards.

14.01.2022 Sensational dresses... My Fav is the Martina-Liana.

13.01.2022 Updates re restrictions on Wedding numbers and when larger numbers with be an option. Remember that small elopement style ceremonies have always been an option: https://www.healthdirect.gov.au//weddings-funerals-rel/vic

13.01.2022 Eight years ago today this amazing couple joined hands, exchanged rings and made commitments to each other that changed them both forever. It was a joyful occasion, as can been seen and today they are going as strong as ever and are as committed to each other as they were that day eight years ago. Congratulations to them, their families and their friends. And most importantly thank you Kim and Joshua for choosing me as your celebrant.

13.01.2022 Martina Liana certainly creates some stunning designs: Here is link to find where you can get yours: shorturl.at/ajHJ3

13.01.2022 Today - Another two anniversaries to recognise. Sarah and Damian 6 years and Sean and Carolyn 7 years. Here is a link to the short video I shot of Sarah and Damian's ceremony: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amhM1Dmvaf8 There are a few elements I really like about this ceremony in particular. The couple came in together, we had ALL the guests involved in the presentation of the couple (not just dad & bride) There was a Best man and Maid of honour but they did not stand with the couple, but brought them the rings when required and I magically produced a bottle of bubbly at the end. And the location lends itself to both garden and beach style shots.

13.01.2022 I just a few more gorgeous dresses to my "Amazing wedding dresses you will love page": https://www.pinterest.com.au//amazing-wedding-dresses-you/

12.01.2022 Yesterdays couple Helen and Anthony tied the knot in Brighton. Rain meant a last minute change of plans and we huddled into a small shelter, but it all went well and the sun shone once again for a few photos near the beach before the reception. Their ceremony included Stefana (Pictured) to acknowledge their shared Greek heritage.

12.01.2022 When you need us we will be here to help with your ceremony and your wedding plans. It's FREE, is fabulous and I will be there to talk to you about your wedding day plans. #yourcelebrant #weedingsbyyourcelebrant #weddingandbride
