There is also a lot of discussion about about how people can best support and contribute funds to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are dealing with this issue. 21.01.2022 PhotoBook 1Celebrating the Local Parkies: Past and Present Yarra City Arts and the Aboriginal Partnerships team are working together to create a special book of community photographs while people are in isolation. This first book will focus on celebrating the local Parkies and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, past and present. We hope that this book will be the start of a series, each with a different focus, but always of and for local mob to share Abori...ginal and Torres Strait Islander history and continuing connection to this area. The book will be distributed to the Billabong mob, Elders, Parkies and to any others who contribute images. This collection of photos will be our gift to community members. Please share your favourite images with us so we can include them in the book, and let people who might want to contribute know about the project and share this post to help us get the word out.
