09.01.2022 Sending this as something positive in these days of virus precautions. Was on a noticeboard of a Catholic church in Victoria have looked up and the Rabbi who quoted is in US. Please think about this (quote by Rabbi Yosef Kanefsky USA March 2020): "Every hand that we don't shake must become a phone call that we place. "Every embrace that we avoid must become a verbal expression of warmth and concern." "Every inch and every foot that we physically place between ourselves and another, must become a thought as to how we might be of help to that other, should the need arise.

08.01.2022 Yesterday I supported a family with a funeral for their Mum (who was a month off 93). In July 2008 I did the funeral for their Dad. This couple were always there for family - never visited & sat down - they always found something to do. In the 11 years between I have also been the Celebrant for one of their daughters and a grandson. Very privileged to have been the Celebrant for all.

07.01.2022 So Saturday & Mardi Gras almost here. 40 yrs celebrating Mardi Gras & for us 45 years celebrating Civil Celebrancy. Garage glittered, flowers glittered, old boots and shoes painted gold. 48 if us will sing along behind our float. 4 from Qld, 1 x SA, others from Illawarra, Coffs Harbour, mid & central coast NSW, and from all directions of Sydney - all. Thanks to them all. Pic is in my garage and our new banner for front of float

07.01.2022 Funny how time flies -- as of today's date, I have completed exactly 800 ceremonies over the past 11 years including weddings, funerals, namings, renewal of vows and life commitment ceremonies. Thanks to everyone who has had faith in me as their Celebrant for whatever ceremony they asked me to do; thanks to all the other Celebrants I have come to know along the way; and thanks to family and friends.

02.01.2022 11.00 this morning was at Wollongong Harbour for Marriage Equality. The lovely Tiernan Brady who is leading the ME Campaign was interviewed and filmed for 2 local TV stations & Illawarra Mercury - followed by the Mayors of both Wollongong & Shellharbour THEN MY TURN followed by a young woman and a young Italian man who are both wanting Marriage Equality to complete their lives. So privileged to have been asked.
