16.01.2022 Ive done it! My first wedding as a Civil Marriage Celebrant! With my ever trusted roadie by my side (Rodney) and with many practicing hours; we managed not to play the songs the happy couple had requested lol! Through terror and stress, the one job Rodney had to do and the elements took over! Our beautiful bride in spite of a 10 degree and overcast afternoon wished the ceremony to be conducted in the stunning grounds; who could blame her! If it wasnt for the rain; albeit no...t too heavy; enough for my hair gel to loosen; we wouldnt have needed the umbrellas that interfered with the Bluetooth connection! The phone and speakers were synced and everything was working perfectly before the guests and umbrellas arrived! The couple were thankful and many comments on how well the ceremony was conducted; although at one stage I felt like Fred Astaire in "singing in the rain"! Now to make my millions lol
