13.01.2022 So I’ve been meaning to make this beautiful looking drink for months now. I first saw this on @theeducatedbarfly and it looked so tasty! I ha...ve made a slight tweak to this recipe though by adding lemon/lime soda (sprite) instead of tonic water used in the original recipe. This cool looking drink is absolutely refreshing and perfect for those hot days to quench your thirst! The butterfly pea ice cubes give a very subtle flavour and compliment the botanicals in the gin from @threefolddistilling. And added sweetness rounds out the overall experience from the sprite I attempted to film a slow-mo clip of adding lime to the mix at the end for a changing colour effect inspired by my good mate Matt from @cocktails_by_tempus but it didn’t quite go to plan haha Embrace your Fails people, this is how we learn! Regardless, it still tasted incredible 60ml Gin (2oz) 15ml Fresh lime juice (.5oz) 120ml Lemon/lime soda (4oz) Butterfly pea (BFP) ice cubes METHOD 1. Add BFP ice cubes to a tall glass 2. Build all ingredients over ice 3. Garnish with speared maraschino cherry and lime twist (to look like a planet with a ring) Throw in a @surfsidesips straw and you’re good to go! >> I have teamed up with @surfsidesips which make the beautiful glass straws I use in my drinks.
