20.01.2022 I’m obsessed with the sky.. my seven year old is really over me talking about it so many amazing colours! I say, Look, look!!!- insert eye roll We know Mummy, you said the same thing yesterday! he says. The light and hues dancing amongst the clouds are constantly a source of inspiration for my work and NO I won’t stop talking about them @gypsylovinlight
18.01.2022 Does anyone find the trips down memory lane when clearing the size out of your children’s drawers they no longer fit in so hard?! I always put off this job! Every single item of clothing I take out and fold to put in the charity or hand me down bag, sparks little memories and moments that are so precious, that I want to hold onto forever. Each phase as they grow is beautiful, but as a Mamma isn’t it just so hard to part with those little iddy biddy outfits!! These beautif...ul words from a friend and author Deborah O'Ferry always stick with me in these moments... Mourning their littleness gone And my heart hurts. You’d never wish the opposite of them growing up, but a friend once sent me a saying about how we spend their years mourning their littleness gone. A quiet grief that we carry every day as we also smile and relish in their achievements. It’s a confusing head space. We see the seven-day-old in a seven-year-old and their hectic newborn arrival while we take their first-day-of-school photos. The first child was hard, but the youngest, the last first day, makes me feel so redundant. The last is a stark reminder that it is the end of an era. The silver lining is an obvious one though. As much as my heart hurts, I’ll forever be grateful that I got a turn on this wild ride. The bruises, the falls, the cheers, the boo’s. The days where you land in the dirt. The victories. They will make the stories over my years forever colourful. And that, makes my heart go boom. See more

10.01.2022 When you’re trying to act all professional and take some shots for your socials and you don’t realise you’re being photobombed by your two year old!! Shout out to all the working parents trying to look professional while juggling the kids! A friend had recently told me a story of a conference call she was on when the professional she was speaking to was having her zoom meeting in her pantry to hide from her kids . Gold! I’d love to hear your crazy working from home with kids stories!!

07.01.2022 Appreciation Post!!! So we’ve all had a pretty tough year! - but as I walk out with the many, many beautiful orders you have all placed this week, I am beyond... grateful!! Thank you for choosing local, thank you for supporting artists and artisans so they can continue filling your homes and your lives with colour and beautiful creations - THANK YOU for choosing me and my work!! Your decision to shop local keeps small businesses like mine alive - it brings VARIETY in a fast becoming carbon copy world of retail. I have been really making an effort this year, more than ever to shop Aussie and shop small - I know so many of you are too and it’s making all the difference. So if there’s a local market on, get on down there - hit up your fb and insta community pages and see what’s on offer, go to that little boutique store online or in person and buy that gift! If this post resonates with you - like it, share it, hell, even leave a comment!! So once again from the bottom of my heart... thank you for speaking so kindly of my work to others, for taking the time to comment and like my posts and thank you to those have chosen to have a little bit of my art in their lives!!! Always so grateful and humbled by your kindness and sincere support. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! See more

01.01.2022 Omg!!! Life drawing at home!! I usually teach life drawing monthly but haven’t been able to since COVID. Little fact some of you may not know, drawing was actually my major at uni. If you’ve ever wanted to give life drawing a go but not felt confident attending here’s your chance! The best way to learn how to draw the human form!
