25.01.2022 Sauvignon Blanc lovers out there? This Karrawatta one is special; we loved how it has a bit of a complex palate! It’s fruity and fragrant - sweet passionfruit and citrus base notes - but delivers quite a dry finish. A really refreshing wine to have as it starts to heat up! 24.01.2022 Happy Friday! This is Dalwood Estate’s Semillon, a 2019 vintage that’s fruity, fragrant with lemongrass aromas, and has a beautiful palate. Semillon is a Hunter Valley specialty, and we really enjoyed this one! What are your weekend plans?

Her mission is to create delicious wine to be enjoyed with friends and family We asked Georgie five questions, and here's her answer to the first: CDS: "What made you get into the wine industry?" ... Georgie: "I was working in the Clare Valley in the vineyards when dad had set up his wine business from the kitchen table and back then it was Broken Gate. He didn’t realise how successful it was going to be until he couldn’t keep up. So, he called me and said 'I think it’s time you got yourself out of the wines and come and run my wine business back in Melbourne.' I was like 'Sure, when would you like me to start?' 19.01.2022 Got our hands on some Purple Hands Wines (in case you couldn’t tell from the label ) From left to right: This 2018 Barossa Valley Shiraz had a sweet fruitiness on the palate that was driven through by fine tannins - so drinkable and so good ... The 2020 Colours of the South Adelaide Pinot Gris gave us floral, pear and citrusy notes, beautifully balancing its crisp acidity. Really enjoyed how refreshing this one was! 18.01.2022 My eyes always fall on McLaren Vale Shiraz on any menu I pick up... just so hard to go past! This is a beautiful Ortus Shiraz. It has a full-bodied palate of berries and black currant, and goes down super easily Ortus' motto is 'Nothing without labour'. Julie and Paige, behind the scenes of Ortus, put in so much work to create their beautiful wines; this is a great product of labour that we've gone back to again and again! 17.01.2022 Steels Gate Cellar Door stealing my heart over and over On the hillside of Dixon's Creek, (and not too far from the centre of Melbourne!) is Steels Gate. Nothing much that beats having a wine overlooking this beauty

12.01.2022 Any Pinot Noir lovers out there? This is Bromley Wines Pinot Noir. Its such a vibrant red in the glass, and is SO refreshing and rich. It's medium bodied with a cherry, plum and berry palate. Can't go wrong with a rich and fruity red!
05.01.2022 Sangiovese that's for a King Aromas of sour cherries, cloves, vanilla and tea. How good does this sound And how good did it taste! Velvety tannins, and rich and fruity on the palate, and a crisp, acidic finish. We did the classic 'what do you drink Sangiovese with' Google search, and were convinced to have it with Spaghetti What do you drink Sangiovese with?
05.01.2022 Be honest... which one caught your eye first? Poppy The Frenchie have this beautiful Grenache (and I'm partial to a good Grenache!). This drop has a velvety, delicate palate of raspberry, cherry, plum, and balancing tannins. Have definitely come back to this one.
