17.01.2022 It's been a long time coming, but the Reiki study conducted at Harvard by members of the Center for Reiki Research (Dr. Natalie Dyer, Dr. Ann Baldwin, and Willi...am Rand) in 2015 and 2016 has now been accepted for publication in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine! This is the largest prospective Reiki study to date and hopefully will lead to more research. A total of 1411 Reiki sessions were conducted and included in the analysis. Statistically significant improvements were observed for all outcomes of psychological and physical health, including pain, drowsiness, tiredness, nausea, appetite, shortness of breath, anxiety, depression, mood, and overall wellbeing, with moderate to large effect sizes (all p values < 0.001). The results from this large-scale multi-site effectiveness trial suggest that a single session of Reiki improves physical and psychological health. 14.01.2022 We highly recommend you research what treats and food you give your dog. A lot of health and behavioural issues can be linked to the diet. Does your dog have s...kin allergies or itchy skin? Does your dog suffer from bouts of loose stools, erratic behaviour, hyper, anxiety? Does your dog suffer from ear problems? Inflamed inner ears? Is your dog Scratching at them or shaking it’s head more than normal? Is the ear pink or red and looks angry? Does your dog throw up after foods? Probably because they can’t process it. What goes in to your dog will have a massive effect on their well being both physically and mentally. Think carefully before giving your dog a treat or trying a new food. With Christmas coming up now is the time to look at the back of packets and decide do you really want to give your dog that treat? Is it processed? Is it full of additives and E numbers and may effect your dog in a negative way? We advise natural treats and food. Some are listed in the picture. An amazing website to research all food brands and makes for your dog is All About Dog Food Website. It gives a rating out of 100 for each make and type of food and will analyse all the ingredients and explain what is in each kibble/meat.

07.01.2022 This poor dog was euthanized.... its owner thought it was a good idea to give it doses of 600mg of ibuprofen as the dog had been hurt in a fight - they thought ...this would relieve the dogs pain. It was 5 days before the owner took the dog to the vet, where euthanasia was elected by the owner. Never ever give ibuprofen to a dog, it's highly toxic and destoys the liver. Dogs cannot process ibuprofen in the same way as humans, and the dog equivalent that is prescribed is a very different formulation. This dog must have been in agony. Always take your dog to an expert - the vet. Never rely on social media for advice and never self medicate your pets with human medications unless advised to do so by a veterinarian. This photo was shared by the vets who encountered this case to increase awareness... with the permission of the owners, and was shared with other veterinary professionals. We do not condone any abuse directed to the owners, or the veterinary profession nor suggest that the dog was abused or mistreated intentionally. This particular case we understand was in the USA, but it does represent mistakes that happen all over the world.... Our intention is to educate individuals to minimise the chance of this being repeated.
