24.01.2022 Here are the new visa changes effective from March 2018 at this stage visa holders have not been advised of these changes and we will be emailing each visa holder shortly with the changes that may affect them individually. 457 visa holders who had their applications lodged BEFORE 18th April 2017 and since approved can still lodge the 187 and 186 direct entry visa and Transitional visas. Please see example:... Peter lodge a 457 visa on 17th April 2017 and was approved his 457 on 1st May 2017 he can lodge a 187 or 186 visa however he still has to meet the requirements of skills and English language of level 6 in each of the 4 bands. ( you will need to check with us to see if he needs a skills assessment of Qualification for the 187 visa. Peter lodged his 457 on April 10th 2016 and was approved his 457 on 15th June 2016 so on the 15th June 2018 he can apply for the 187 or 186 TRT (Transitional visa) Peter lodged his visa on 19th April 2017 and was granted his visa on 20th June 2017 he now has to wait 3 years to apply for the TRT to 187/186 visa however if his occupation is on the Medium to long-term skills occupation list (MTSOL) He can apply for direct entry 186/187 if he has 3 years previous work experience in his occupation and a skills assessment for trade occupations and for the 186 visa. 05.01.2022 know there is a lot of confusion out there at the moment for 457 employers and visa applicants. From March 2018 year when the Government introduce the TSS Visa replacing the 457 visa. This is broken up into 2 visa stream a 2 years visa if your skills are on the short term list and a 4 year visa if you are on the medium to long term list. For employer with a $10 million dollars per year turn over this means a $1800 per visa per year for each employee on a TSS visa and a $5000 ...one off payment for each 187/186 permanent employee. If you business turns over LESS than $10 million per year this means a $1200 per visa per year for each employee on a TSS visa and a $3000 one off payment for each 187/186 permanent employee. my suggestion is get your 457 visas lodged before march 2018 and your 186/187 applications lodged. From the 1st of July visa fees will also increase so for a 457 visa applicant fees will increase from $1060 to $1080 plus the .98% credit card Plus the $700 subsequent application fees and for the any of the other visas like 190,189,187,186,489 fees will increase from $3600 to $3670 plus ,98% credit card fees.
