14.01.2022 On Wednesday, Beaudesert First Nations peoples joined Centacare clients and employees for a lunch in celebration of NAIDOC Week. 10.01.2022 We love this story. ‘A Boy Named Bear’ by Kaz Dalton tells the story of Bear, her son who has Autism Spectrum Disorder. Bear attends Catholic Early EdCare St Augustine’s Long Day Care + Kindergarten. For Book Week, educators and children dressed up as Bear and learned about his story. This was a great opportunity for the children to understand that we are all different and that our differences should be celebrated.

09.01.2022 The Community Services team at Stones Corner were delighted to recently host a BBQ for the clients from our Northgate Community Centre along with some residents from one of our local Supported Independent Living houses. The Northgate clients were also presented with a gift of three new chickens for the coop at the Centre, which is another opportunity for them to pursue their hobbies and learn new skills.

08.01.2022 Ben had a long term goal to organise his own holiday. He worked with his support team to plan his perfect Gold Coast vacation, setting out a budget, choosing his accommodation and planning the activities he wanted to do. The highlight of his trip was his visit to Sea World, where he met a seal. Well done Ben and thank you for allowing us to be part of your holiday!
