18.01.2022 Good Afternoon Clients, AMP have released their 2016 claims paid and I wanted to share this information with you. With regards to Trauma claims we see that most claims are made for people between the age of 50 to 59 (48.2% of all claims). Most of the claims are for Cancer, 49% of all Male claims are for Cancer and 70% of all female claims are for Cancer.... With Regards to Income Protection we see that most claims are made for people between the age of 50 to 59 (41.5% of all claims). Most of the claims are for Musculoskeletal and Mental Health, 22% of all Male claims are for Musculoskeletal issues and 24% of all female claims are for Mental Health. What we do see in practice unfortunately due to premium costs is that people are cancelling their cover around the age of 50 when they need it the most.
