25.01.2022 What a super weeked for our Central Midlands riders at Moonyoonooka ODE. Zara Coussens Leeson stepped out for her first big competition on Dilemma and took out the win in the CT30. Was a pleasure to see her out there riding so professionally. Amy Lethean won the PC45 on Chrissy in a large class against some seasoned competitors. Well ridden Amy Stevie Coussens Leeson continued her consistent performances in PC65 coming in 6th. Georgia Homewood won the PC65 on Teddy and also t...ook out the highest place OTT. Wonderful effort girls and families. Such a lovely weekend. See more

22.01.2022 Central Midlands Pony Club sent a delegate to the Pony Club WA AGM held at Karinya Park, Orange Grove on Saturday night. Pleasing to report that Pony Club WA is in good heart with sound governance in place, positive financials after a couple of lean years and Pony Club generally going places. Do take the time to access the 2018 Annual report on the Pony Club WA website, a well presented and informative report and if you look carefully you will recognise one Georgia Homewood and one Sharnie Lewis amongst the many photographs! Some minor adjustments to the constitution were voted on, plus Board members Deb Spencer and Anne Marie Lowry, neither of whom are strangers to Moora, re elected. Pony Club WA is in good hands!

22.01.2022 Our Central Midlands riders had a lovely weekend competing. Sharnie and Molly Lewis went to MGAWA Individual Championship weekend at Gidgie. Molly took out Reserve Champion 12yrs and under and Sharnie won the Champion Rider 18yrs and under B Final. Well done girls. Brooke Kenny had another super win on Kat at Brigadoon CNC in the Eva80J which was also the interschools Eventing Champs.... so she is 1st in line for selection Interschool Nationals Eventing . So very proud of yo...u Brooke. Georgia Homewood brought home 2nd place on Teddy in the Eva65J .

Julie and Phoenix Walsh bringing a racing saddle and a Racehorse! We also had western saddles to stock saddles to try out. Big thank you to everyone who brought their saddles and ponies in for the members to try.

12.01.2022 Usually at this time of year Moora Horse Trials is on the horizon and the annual clean up and maintenance of our grounds is reaching fever pitch. With the 2019 Horse Trials scheduled for the later date of 28/29 September it would be accurate rather than unkind to suggest that the grounds have been let slip a bit. At a pre Easter HT meeting a busy bee was suggested and today the Pony Club (and Leo) got started! Huge thanks to all who attended - Jill, Chloe, Leah, Jade, Gina an...d Brooke who came in this morning and raked like dervishes; Nat, Annalise, Georgia, Sharnie, Molly, Ashlee and Damon who raked and burnt with equal gusto this afternoon. Thanks also to those I didn’t spot today but who are also contributing to the upkeep of our terrific grounds, your efforts are greatly appreciated.Particularly noticeable to someone with some experience of the annual pre HT Horse yards clean up is how clean the actual yards are this year, gold mucking out stars to all users! 11.01.2022 Pony Club on Saturday will have some added fun....thanks to the loan of a side saddle from Sue Warren (pictured here) and Judy Rose, plus Western and Racing saddles from Rhenice, Sue and Julie we will all be learning something quite different!

10.01.2022 Exciting news - Jordyn Colleran has been accepted onto the EWA Eventing Development Squad! Jordyn came up through the ranks of Central Midlands PC, starting on the Appaloosa ‘Freckles’ and then being a stalwart of many PC teams on ‘Orange Springs Leica’. Jordyn would be one of the most hardworking and likeable people you could hope to meet, she has always ‘made’ her own horses, usually acquired very cheaply by her Grandfather Tim Coleman of Ledge Point. Jordyn was very much ...part of our PC, and a true PC’er - could turn her hand to anything and loved by all. Jordyn also worked hard at school, finished Uni and juggles work and horses. Balmont Boy, who won his first 1* start at Moora HT 2018 is her current horse, and looking quite a superstar. Jordyn comes back to her home ground and with her partner Mitch has been invaluable helping at the HT in recent years. We are all so proud of you Jordyn - congratulations! See more

09.01.2022 The photos I took on Sat - apologies to those I missed. Thank you again to Julie W and Phoebe, Rhenice and Sue, and Judy Rose and Sue Warren for enabling us to have such a fun and learning experience. I am particularly proud to now know what a fender and half breed is, and that there is more than one type of western, stock and racing saddle! All those years and still learning...

09.01.2022 MOORA SHOW Few pic of our riders, fantastic day and the rain stayed away for much of the day. Big shout out to central midlands pony club & moora horsemens club for making this event possible.

09.01.2022 We would like to advise that there have been some materials dropped on the west side of the XC Course up near the angled rails. Please be very careful if riding out on this area of the course. Thanks Moora Horse Trials Team

09.01.2022 News hot off the press! At the Capel CCN-S this weekend our very own Brooke Kenny and Ringwould Advocat had a convincing win in the EvAJ80. Finishing on their dressage score of 28.61 penalties (that is not a misprint, outstanding score) Brooke and Kat scored a resounding win in a VERY competitive class. Brooke has always been a beautiful and gutsy rider, and on the ‘watch this space’ list in her official eventing career on this horse, she has arrived! Very many congratulations Brooke (and Kat) we are all so very proud of you!

08.01.2022 Nadine Merewether in Moora on 23/24th March.

06.01.2022 Moora Horse Trials committee would like to advise the cross country course is closed for training due to the up coming Horse Trials. Even if you are not plannin...g to ride at the upcoming event it is advised you do not use the jumps as upgrades and repairs have now commenced and jumps may not be safe to use. If you are trial riding on the club grounds we do advise you take great care in where you are going as materials have been delivered to new jump locations, and existing jumps moved. We take great care to ensure the area is safe but must remind you to take care yourself. If riders can please refrain from using the yellow sand arena and space between there and the Showjumping shed as these surfaces are also being prepared for the event with top dressing to start this weekend. Thank you.

Zones having three or fewer riders for their run-off may apply to the Pony Club WA State Showjumping Committee to have their nominations accepted with proof of competency at the required height. A Proof of Competency form (Appendix 1) in the Reference Document must be completed and signed by the judge of the class on the day, to show the rider has completed two rounds at the required height. 03.01.2022 Contratulations to Brooke Kenny and her fabulous Ringwould Advocat on winning the Wooroloo 1 CCN Eva80J. Super riding from Brooke saw them finish on their dressage score. It was a wonderful weekend with the Moora Crew Sally Keeffe was 9th in the Eva95 with this being her first run in the senior grade. Annalise Duschka had Sheba step up to 95 and placed 23rd in a very competitive class. Jemma Clemesha finished 10th in the Eva80B on Chickie who enjoyed being the centre of at...tention in the camp. Georgia Homewood finished 7th in the Eva65J with Teddy. Hannah Richardson scored a last minute ride on the Gales' Gidget in the Eva65 to place 5th.
