08.01.2022 Lake Oberon is starting to cool down and the fish are starting to get on the bite, Couple of Rainbows showing up and the Redfin are starting to get hungry, it's... a good time to get the fishing gear out and catch as many Redfin as you can to help out the latest Golden Perch release in the Lake. 05.01.2022 Yesterday a total of 2,755 Murray Cod were released into the Macquarie River at Eglinton, Hereford Street and Evans Bridge by the Bathurst branch of CAS. The fish were purchased via the dollar for dollar scheme with NSW Fisheries. Funds at our end were raised by Col Gordon and Ken Smith at the Bathurst Go Fishing day last year and also via a donation from the Dudley Hotel Fishing Club. A great example of fishing clubs and associations working collaboratively to ensure angling opportunities into the future. Pictured releasing fish is CAS Vice President Jay Flanagan.
02.01.2022 A couple of great days this weekend for fishing Lake Oberon, minus 6 this morning and a beaut day for getting big redfin before they start spawning. One fisherman could only catch rainbows how good is that!!
