It wasnt the easiest project but after a few changes here and there we made it and now have made an awesome addition to the existing clubhouse where Central Cairns Swimming can call home. 18.01.2022 Some photos from the team over the weekend at FNQRSA Short Course Champs. Fantastic results, some from just two weeks ago. Highlights Joel smashed a New Aust Open Record for his S7 100 IM plus pbing everything else. And got interviewed ... Riley had 12 sec pb in her 200 free Alfie did a 6 second pb in his 50 fly Talisha belted a 19 sec pb in her 200 free Sienna on Friday night won Bronze in her 50 back Rhiannon had a 13 sec pb in her 400 free from two weeks ago Cassidy Pbd 2 of her four swims and loved it. Great job team
18.01.2022 Big day for the Central’s team this morning. Rhys PBd his 50 Fly that made it 3 swims 3 PBS. Talisha had her 50 Fly, had a bad start but swam really well. Just outside her best. Joel equal Pb for his 100 free. Won a silver age medal In his 100 breast swam over his best but won another silver and has made the open final tonight.... Alf swam his 100 free and was really nervous. But won a 14 year old Bronze medal Then did a 15.32 second PB in his 100 breast. Won bronze medal for his age group. He also made the open final for tonight. AND Louise officiated all day Great job team. See more

16.01.2022 DAY 2 of FNQ SC Championships have been swum and what a glorious day it was. The pool saw Alfie, Talisha, Riley, Rhiannon, Cassidy and Joel get wet and do some pretty amazing PBs. Cassidy the old girl in the team hasnt swum in a comp since 2018 and she smashed out some PBs and remembered her love of the sport Joel was presented a beautiful gift from FNQ Regional Swimming Association for FNQ Multi Class Swimmer of the year and unofficially broke the Australian 10...0IM Multi Class S7 open record. Alicia had the swimmers on line in time and was once again a wonderful Team Manager. Coach Herbie said he is happy Day 3 see you again at 8am

Unfortunately young Casey couldnt make Presentation day on Sunday but got the chance today to be presented with her mini Squad Coaches award in front of her swimming mates.... 16.01.2022 2020/21 STATE DEVELOPMENT SQUAD APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN The Squad Development Squad is aimed at swimmers between 12-18 years of age who meet the FNQ Qualif...ying times and are striving to qualify for State and National Age Championships. Swimmers in the State Development Squad are introduced to advanced racing skills, conditioning for performance and support services such as dry-land programming and the introduction of sport science services. The first clinic will be held in September. Eligibility: Open to swimmers, subject to meeting FNQ qualifying times eligible to attend the 2020 Queensland Long Course State Championship (including an 11 year old who will be 12 on the first day of the 2020 championship). Applications for the 2020/21 Season State Development Squad will close on August 25. YOU WILL NEED TO REAPPLY FOR THE 20/21 SEASON EVEN IF YOU HAVE ALREADY QUALIFIED FOR THE SQUAD IN 2019/20. NO EXEMPTIONS WILL BE MADE TO THE AGE CRITERIA OR QUALIFYING TIMES. DJ swam his fastest long course 50 Breast with a 33.88 Alf had his 50 free but swam a little over his Pb but winning a bronze medal Joel had three heat swims 100 back with a .82 sec Pb... And has made the open final tonight. Won the 16 years gold medal 50 free smashing out a 32 doing a .78 sec Pb. Won the 16 years gold medal 200 IM, swam tired but has made the open final tonight.
