25.01.2022 Round 13 is in the books with wins to three sides outside the top four at the beginning of the round. At Baker Park, Wyong got an important win, defeating Lisarow Ourimbah by 28 runs. Batting first, the Roos made 160 from 68 overs, being bowled out on the last ball of the day. Callum Rainger continued his good season with 27 while brother Lachlan also made a fine 28 batting at number 10. Veteran Mitchell McBeath turned back the clock and took four wickets while Jason Buckley ...and Ethan Milne also picked up two. The Magpies struggled to get continuous partnerships and were bowled out in the 62nd over for 132. Skipper Ryan Fenning top scored with 43 while Kaleb Daley was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets with Hayden Murphy and Mark Leard also claiming two. Southern Spirit kept their season alive with a dominant 91 run victory over Warnervale at Woongarrah. Batting first, the Spirit made 9-267 from 71 overs with Liam O’Farrell starring with 111 off 124 balls. Lachlan Cork was also fantastic making 55 batting with the lower order. Daniel Hill and Mitch McNeilly both picked up three wickets for the Wildcats. The Wildcats needed a big score from one of their bats and Simon Keen looked to be the guy making 65, but when he was dismissed, it was always going to be an uphill battle and were eventually all out for 176. Lachlan Bull and Harrison Jaenke did the damage getting three wickets each. At Erina Oval, an excellent bowling performance by Kincumber Avoca got them the victory against Narara Wyoming. The Griffins would bat first and only make 111 on a slow Erina outfield, Dylan Robertson top scoring with 31 while Tom Owen picked up three wickets for the Lions. In reply, the Lions would be bowled out for 91 with Robertson the star again taking 5/25 from 22 overs. Ethan Lulham battled hard making 29. In the final game, The Entrance sent a message to the rest of the competition with a resounding 8 wicket win. The Bellbirds batted first and made 9-147 from 64 overs with Lloyd Radcliffe played beautifully for his 56. The Seagulls only used four bowlers with Adam Taylor taking 4-32. With the bat, 71 from skipper Jeff Hemming steered the ship home passing the target in the 44th over. With plenty of overs left in the day, the Bellbirds went out to bat and made 138 giving them an extra half point while the Seagulls got another full point. Northern Power had the bye.

21.01.2022 Well done Elliott

16.01.2022 Some big matchups await in Round 12 of the Womens A Grade competition. Northern Power and Lisarow Ourimbah Black will do battle at Harry Moore Oval. The last time the two side met, the Power were far too strong with Karen Mander making an impressive 46* from 30 balls. The Magpies will look to reverse the result with Danielle Thorp in form taking 5 wickets in her last match. At Sohier Park, Lisarow Ourimbah White will look to keep their second place spot in safe keeping when t...hey take on Kincumber Avoca. The Magpies fell just short last week against Wyong with Piper Hooke scoring 23* at the end nearly bringing them home and she will be key here. The Griffins are looking for their first win of the year here and Veronica Brown was excellent in the earlier matchup this season and will take confidence from that. In the final game, Terrigal Matcham will have a tough assignment when they welcome Wyong to Terrigal Haven. The Bellbirds currently sit in 4th position and know if they can cause an upset here, finals will be within reach. The Roos showed their poise in last weeks top of the table win which was led by 40 from opening bat Rochelle Davis. Southern Spirit have the bye.

14.01.2022 The Women’s A Grade competition returns after two weeks break with Round 8 action to be played Saturday. At Terrigal Haven, Terrigal Matcham will take on Northern Power. The Bellbirds will look to climb into the top four with a win here and will want Jade Day to continue on her form with the bat before the break. The Power are trying to jump into the top two with a win here and if Bec Callan can produce more match winning knocks, a premiership isn’t out of the question. Wyong... and Kincumber Avoca will do battle at Don Small Oval. Wyong are undefeated and premiership favourites for a reason with their batting leading the way with Rochelle Davis and Jordann Johnson both sitting top five for batting. The Griffins sit on the bottom of the table but string a few wins together and top four will be within reach. Sarah Perkins is averaging 56 for the year and sits top five in the batting as well. In the third game of the round, Southern Spirit and Lisarow Ourimbah Black will take on each other at Rogers Park. The winner of this game will move into the top four and having pole position heading into the back end of the season is important. Sally Oman has been great with the ball sitting in the top 10 for wickets taken while for the Magpies, Ashlee Mackenzie is averaging 52 with the stick, putting her also in the top 10 for batting. Lisarow Ourimbah White have the bye.

Daniel Hill bowled well, taking 2/9 off his 5 overs. The Wildcats started brightly with Simon Keen making 41 off 27 balls but when he was dismissed the run rate started to climb. Cricket NSW is disappointed this decision has been necessary and understand the disappointment it will cause players and families across the state, however the health and safety of all involved is paramount. We will continue to work with all of our Clubs and Associations to maximise the amount of cricket played in a safe environment.
