25.01.2022 Bam! Another Koala sighting just sent to me. This photograph was taken between Ourimbah and Somersby, potentially showing continuity of Koala populations between Mangrove Mountain and the Watagans. With major housing developments threatening Koala habitat around the Central Coast, we need to do EVERYTHING we can to have their homes protected.

25.01.2022 Things are moving along with our push to have the Central Coast known as the biggest natural Koala sanctuary in the world, with new sightings coming in and projects happening!... Please read the press release below for more info...

24.01.2022 KOALAS SOLD OUT FOR COAL Sadly, Australian environmental laws have failed time and time again in protecting our incredible wildlife. And it's going from bad to worse. A new agreement will allow the coal industry to BULLDOZE endangered habitat before a replacement home for the displaced Koalas is found. There won’t even be any legal consequences for making the koala homeless in the meantime.... Without opening your wallet, you can raise 50c for Greenpeace Australia Pacific by taking our 2 minute survey. When you act to protect our iconic koala, you help stop their steady slide to extinction. Stopping the coal industry from recklessly endangering our precious Australian wildlife without consequence takes 2 minutes of your time today. We can’t lose our beloved national icon to coal. Stand up for koalas today and help Greenpeace push for a new generation of environmental laws with this 2 minute survey.

22.01.2022 Olney State Forest is under threat of being logged! Our precious forests and native animals should be left alone! Join Jake Cassar for a by-donation bushcraft workshop on Monday 21st and learn more about how you can get involved. .

17.01.2022 The Team here at Central Coast Koalas Are disgusted and outright disappointed with this desicion. In short Sussan Ley MP has essentially said it’s okay to knock down some homes because there are others around them.... #koalakiller

07.01.2022 Central Coast Koalas - CCK are dedicated to supporting our precious koalas, their habitat and their future. If you or someone you know have seen or heard a koala on the Central Coast (or surrounds) please let us know so we can keep a record of where our koalas are located. Sadly, there are many more destructive developments planned for the Central Coast, so we need to keep proving that koalas still exist here (as they were once declared extinct in this region - which is not t...rue) and if their vital habitat continues to keep disappearing at these alarming rates the damage will be irreversible. The government's priority should always be to conserve what is remaining of their habitat. We have had many people send in photos and locations of koala sightings - thank you, please keep them coming! You can message our FB page or email [email protected] See more
