23.01.2022 Thank you to this beautiful strong woman in the photo for representing strength through treatment. Did you know Pilates can play an integral part in both cancer treatment and recovery? Pilates provides positive physiological benefits for functional status, mood, confidence, fitness, and strength maintenance. The repetitive guided movement increases shoulder range of motion and reduces the pain created by surgical scaring and muscle imbalance. ... 15.01.2022 Flossing? What? . Nerve flossing exercises are gentle exercises that involve gliding the nerve through the muscle tissues creating a release of any compromised or irritated nerve. . Nerve flossing targets conditions such as sciatica and piriformis syndrome in the lumbar/glutes region but there are also some for the neck, shoulders and arms too.... Nerve flossing may help relieve pain from these areas and increase range of motion. . . . #centralcoastphysiolates, #stretchesforbackpain #nerveflossing, #centralcoastwellness, #pilatesgivescorestrength, #learningisfun

12.01.2022 What a year people.... kids are starting to talk about 9 days left of school and I tell you what... I am one blunt pencil! . I am still looking for the balance across work life, home life and self care whilst at the same time wanting to achieve so much more in all of these areas. . I am now working on plan 4000 as I have been saying this for years. Haha... . In the next 4 weeks I am winding down to only work across 4 days next year, not 6. So please help me be a half sharp pencil and make sure that if you are one of my regular clients that you book some time into my diary next year so you don't miss out. You are all aware how much I care for your well-being so please help me help you. 12.01.2022 Is sucking your tummy in activating your core? Many women are confused about this! . So many of my clients tell me that when they are told to activate their core or squeeze their pelvic floor, they don't really know what to do... often they just suck their tummy in and tuck their butt under. .... The most optimal position to activate your core is a neutral pelvis and spine... so what is neutral and how do we achieve this? On Monday i'll put it in a video so you can watch it back later... . . . #centralcoastphysiolates, #caringforwomen #centralcoastcancerrehab, #centralcoastwellness, #centralcoastmumsfitness, See more
