22.01.2022 On the Central Coast, Shamanic Practitioner Indra Reinpuu offers a range of services to the local community. At the heart of this work is the foundationary Spirit Canoe program a profound journey of self-discovery, visionary practice, ceremony, divination and healing. 20.01.2022 In the West, the great totemic Dreaming Serpent, Ungur, teaches us the natural path to healing - Letting Go... For many of us, life continues to be difficult...or at least unfulfilling. We feel the tension in our beings; a tightness, restlessness...a building pressure. Something that was once ok is no longer right. Our soul is ready to move on, to grow into something "larger" in life. The attachments of our past no longer serve us; no longer nurture us. Indeed, they now begi...n to hold us back; trapping us in a world that will increasingly cause us limitation, discomfort and pain. 11.01.2022 The LIGHT and the SHADOW Our mythologies, religions and spiritual traditions are filled with the ancient and seemingly endless battle between "good" and "evil". Often, these polarities are assigned the physical world embodiments of Light and Darkness - with everything good and spiritually uplifting being "of the Light" while bad, evil and negative energies are depicted as "Dark"...or "from the Shadow". A Shamanic view sees another perpective - one depicted in Nature and accor...dingly, deep with intrinsic, timeless wisdom. With the Spring Equinox approaching, our attention is directed to observe and understand the true nature and necessity of Equilibrium: A world where light and shadow move in harmony, each with their own time, wisdom and opportunities. A world where the ascension of Spirit towards light-filled heaven is coupled with the grounding of Soul into earthy, nurturing darkness. A world where the Divine Feminine and the Sacred Masculine dance as one - at times embracing...at times twirling wildly apart. 07.01.2022 Over countless generations, Humans have managed to domesticate wild animals, plants, the lands upon which we live, ...Even ourselves. We have bred the natural wildness out and replaced it with compliance, moderation and control.... With safety. With predictability. With comfort. In doing so, we have gained much - it is easy to see. But... the price has been high, And what has been lost, Is harder to see. For the loss grows in deep shadow, And eats at our souls, Until we have no idea, Who we are, Or what really matters. That's the place we're coming to now. Once...even Time was wild. There were no clocks or calendars putting it into organised little boxes, ...Making it move according to some specified speed and cadence. Once, Time moved according to it's own wild nature and took the world with it... Sometimes rushing, hurtling through happenings without regard for its afterwash... Other times, Time would crawl, creep or even stand completely still, Holding the world in a precise, teetering moment that held no promise of where or when it would go next. Such is the true nature of Time. It is a key to unlocking the hidden vault of our own wildness, Now latent and buried in most of us, Lost in shadow, Unwelcome, Misunderstood, Without a home. All of us have felt Time in its authenticity, Trying to break free of the clock's shackles; Slowing it down, grinding begrudgingly forward, Or leaping, flying...racing, Momentarily free. 06.01.2022 PURPOSE - Our Authentic Path For so many people, life and what we do with it is dictated by our personal situation, environment, culture, age, gender, ethnicity, family expectations...or our own beliefs about who we are and what's right / appropriate / possible for us. None of these things relate to the PURPOSE why we have come or how our lives might look if we truly lived an AUTHENTIC life.... Shamanic practice, as always, turns to Nature for guidance. To understand what it means to live authentically and how we can practically do that in this complex, challenging 21st century world, go sit with the ocean, in a forest, under a starlit sky and ask if any other part of Nature struggles to live according to it's Purpose. Ask the sea...ask the trees...ask the birds...ask the stars. All of them face difficulties - they live and die, as we do. But...they never leave their authentic path. They know what they are and how to be, irrespective of what's going on. People however, constantly wrestle with purpose. They spend lifetimes seeking it. They feel it and then deny it. They yearn for it but will not embrace it. They want it to fit in with their present reality rather than understanding it will manifest a new one. The world we have created has removed us so far from our true, authentic nature that it no longer has time or space for who we really are. We are too busy doing. Or...it is more important that we live according to rules, expectations, roles or identities that we have adopted in order to survive this fabricated life. This life is real...but deep in our souls, we know it is not a full and true expression of who we are. And if we are conscious enough to realise this, we ache. So... what to do? We can't just abandon all our responsibilities and go in search of "Purpose"...Can we? In this time when our world is in turmoil and we are approaching tipping points at many levels, only authenticity can turn things around. There is nothing more important for us to do. Nothing. Talk to big trees...deep stones...old rivers. They will ask you what you feel like when you are "most yourself". What makes you feel "real" and "true"? What do you feel like when you matter? Those feelings will guide you to authenticity. And their opposite will lead you away. No need to know what you'll be doing or where you'll be...only how it will feel. And every choice you make will lead you either closer to...or further away from that feeling. Now...courage.
