12.01.2022 A new COVID-Safe Check-In system is being introduced across the Northern Territory from 30 November 2020 requiring businesses, organisations and venues to collect customer contact details. The Territory Check In app is a contactless, secure and easy way for customers and visitors to sign into businesses and venues. There will be paper forms for those without the app or access to it or you can check others in using your app. The Chief Health Officer Directions require customer...s to provide, and businesses to collect contact information. This is the law. If you are with someone who needs assistance and you don’t know what to do, please ask volunteers or staff for help. The important details to collect are name, contact details or place of residence and primary language so that contact tracing is efficient and useful. This app will not replace studio sign in and out requirements, please continue to register your visit for our own records. The app enables individuals to check-in to venues and have this data stored securely by NT Health for 28 days so contact tracing can be quickly undertaken if required. It also allows you to check in friends and family, who might not have their own device, using your app. Registration and use of the app is free of charge. Download The Territory Check In App To download the app, follow this simple five step process: (Internet connection and a compatible phone or tablet device is required) 1. Download The Territory Check In app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. The app will be available in Google Play Store from 30 November 2020 and in Apple App Store in the coming days. 2. Register your details this is only required the first time you log in. 3. Open the app at participating venues to check in. Select ‘Check-In Now’ and hover your smartphone over the displayed QR Code. 4. Add any additional people that may be with you including those without their own device or app. 5. When the check-in is complete, show venue staff the successful check in screen on the app. For more information head to https://coronavirus.nt.gov.au/stay-safe/check-in-app See more
