15.01.2022 A toast to a special person Volunteers and staff at the Visitor Information Centre in Emerald joined with the team from Central Highlands Development Corporation to toast our dear friend Sally Roberts, on the anniversary of her passing. It was a lovely night with plenty of funny stories. Sal was a much-loved member of the VIC crew for many years, most recently in the role of Centre Co-Ordinator.... Anniversaries are always difficult for those who have lost someone and our thoughts are with Sal’s family. She will always be in out hearts.

The Dakota C-47 Air Crash Memorial commemorates 14 Australian soldiers and five US military personnel killed when their aircraft went down during a violent storm.
