25.01.2022 A very big thank you to Gavin (Cumba Collection) for sharing your talent with us in celebration of NAIDOC Week! Gavin was at our Kalgoorlie campus every day painting this beautiful mural, some of our students got to put their hand print on the wall too "RAWA NGURRA" and "RAWA NYINAKU" are the words painted in yellow. These are the closest local wongi translation to this years NAIDOC theme, "always was, always will be".... It roughly translates as "always my home, always going to be sitting here". Check out this video to hear from Gavin and the meaning behind "Kawaku" (pronounced ga-wa-goo).
