23.01.2022 Hi Everyone, We have had a few questions about when results will be available after assessment and covid19 swab done at ACRC. Just to confirm that swabs that are taken during the day at the clinic are processed that same evening in South Australia and results are available WITHIN 24 HOURS. Patients are sent a SMS result directly informing them of the result.... As a reminder: The clinic only sees symptomatic patients (tiredness, fever, runny nose, sore throat, body aches and pains, loss or change in taste or smell) Each and every patient is FULLY GP ASSESSED with history and examination (if necessary and appropriate) with our team in full PPE There is no waiting room or cross contamination risk for patients Patients are all provided a management plan A letter with the progress notes taken are given to the patient to take to their regular doctor For patients with non resolving / chronic issues, patients are referred back to their regular GP once COVID19 has been excluded for safe ongoing management For appointments go to: ********** www.centralrespiratoryclinic.com.au ********** or call: 08 84906971

18.01.2022 No matter your child’s age, preparing them for a COVID-19 test will help make the experience a little easier for them. . Here are a few tips on how to prepare ...your child: Paint a picture for them: describe in age appropriate detail what they can expect before you head out. This should include where they will go, who will be there, what they will see and how long it will take. Let them know that friendly staff will be wearing masks, caps, gowns and gloves to protect themselves and others from getting sick. Keep them distracted during the wait with their favourite toy, books, music, or a movie/TV show on your phone or tablet. Explain that they’ll put a little stick with a soft end in their nose and mouth, and that it won’t hurt but might feel funny. Plan a fun ‘reward’ that they will get at home after the test (your child will need to self-isolate until they’ve received a negative test result and their symptoms have resolved). . If your child doesn’t like being touched or gets scared in clinical settings, please let the staff know and they’ll work out a way to keep your child feel calm and comforted. See more

18.01.2022 Do you have any of these symptoms? Fever or chills Cough Sore throat Runny nose... Shortness of breath Loss of taste or smell Get tested for coronavirus (COVID-19), even if your symptoms are mild. How to get tested: 1- Call your GP clinic for an assessment. Your doctor will give you instructions on what to do next. This may include having a swab test in your car or you may be provided with a referral (specimen collection request form) to attend a drive-through testing clinic. OR 2- Visit a dedicated COVID-19 or Respiratory Clinic to be assessed and tested. Some clinics require you to call ahead and make a booking. For more information on how and where to get tested, visit: https://bit.ly/35yjnYv Remember, in an emergency always call Triple Zero (000).

14.01.2022 Our online booking portal is back up and running again! Sorry for the technical issues. Book at : www.centralrespiratoryclinic.com.au

10.01.2022 [HEALTH ALERT] There is a significantly higher risk of COVID-19 in South Australia due to the current outbreak in Victoria. So what can you do to help stop... the spread? 1If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, no matter how mild, you need to get tested as soon as possible. 2If you know someone with symptoms of COVID-19, kindly encourage them to seek testing. Once you get a test, please return home immediately and wait for your results. If you receive a negative test result, you should still stay at home and not attend work, or school/childcare until you are feeling well again. Visit www.sahealth.sa.gov.au/covidtesting or call the COVID-19 Information Line on 1800 253 787 to find a testing location.

09.01.2022 South Australia has been doing a fantastic job at getting tested, with almost 400,000 COVID-19 tests taken. A test does not clear you of COVID-19 forever. Th...e virus can have up to a 14 day incubation period, so it is possible that if you test negative you may still develop COVID-19 in the future. It is important to get tested if you develop new symptoms, even if you have previously tested negative. If you are unsure, please call your GP for advice.
