21.01.2022 Well my time has been cut short at the latest excavation job when Monday morning I bought the machine home to unload a couple of pallets of tiles that we were having delivered only to find a trail of oil everywhere I went so it took me most of the day once the tiles were unloaded just to clean the machine, it then took nearly all the next day just to find the leak which looked like it was coming from the right hand final drive motor which was a worry, my first thought was a ...motor failure so I pulled the case drain filter which would show if that was the case and I was pleasantly surprised as it looked brand new and clean as a whistle so that was a good thing, the source of the leak was eventually found and it was a broken speed sensor, guessing from constant vibration it has fatigued, every single nut and bolt on the motor will need to be changed as they all are fairly second hand from rust and rocks including the bolts that hold it in place, any way all good in the end so she will go back together as good as new and then I will pull the other motor and do the same before the bolts get any worse, cheers Greg See more

19.01.2022 This week I got to work down at the Big 4 Caravan Park in Narooma creating some nice level camp sites, not a bad part of the world to be working, all the work is ready for turf straight from the machine finish, cheers

17.01.2022 My mate Bob is all back together, and back on her tracks Glenn, a fresh grease and all round check and she is all ready to get back into it, have to love shiny new bits, cheers

16.01.2022 Early start this morning, whales were breaching non stop until after lunch time, hard to handle but had a big day in the machine, and very happy with the days work

15.01.2022 Well today we had to take out a couple of more trees and then we did the final clean up and about lunch time we got stuck into cutting the first pad which is for one of the driveways/entry and the shed, its nearly there but the fill is about 6m short on one end so we will have to rob some fill from the other cuts that are needed, Bruce found where the telecom cable is and apart from that everything is going along great, except for the dust, some rain would be good, cheers Greg

13.01.2022 Today it was more of the same, some new teeth arrived just in time for the machines bucket, we are now well into the shale and progress has slowed because of this but not the enthusiasm, we now have the shed pad down to the right height with just the final trim to happen but the cut and fill fell well short so now we are importing fill from other cuts to fill the rear of the pad, Bruce has got stuck into the water tank pad and is now playing in rock, while I have now started on the house entry driveway and house pad, not too sure what will happen tomorrow as the rain looks like rolling in but we will wait and see what happens, cheers Greg

12.01.2022 Well here I go again, 12 months ago I broke the right rear idler wheel, now I have broken the left, last time the part wasn't in the country and the machine was down for a month, luckily this time it was delivered within a few days of ordering, going to get down and dirty tomorrow and get her back on her wheels.

08.01.2022 I have been very busy of late constructing a shed pad along with a 2km grass race track which I have had to smooth all the lumps and bumps and spread topsoil along with doing the same to a heap of walking tracks, very happy with how things have gone

08.01.2022 Poor old girl now needs a bit of loving as I broke the rear track idler wheel bearings, so not a lot will happen with the machine over the next three weeks as the part is not in the country and thats how long it will take to get it from the states, bugger

08.01.2022 Well it has been a while since I have made a post here, I haven't stopped working but rather have just been far too busy to get here and sit down and post, Saying that I did have the machine down for a short time with a blown hose that was extremely difficult to one find the leak in the first place and then find a way to get to the said hose, any way I managed to get it out and the new one back in, I have also just finished a cut for a caravan relocation which included a fire pit space and a water tank pad and also re profiled a local road (Penny Lane) that had been very badly rutted, until next time, cheers Greg

07.01.2022 Well we have had a big long weekend, working in conjunction with Bruce Challis operating the Southern Euro Concrete's excavator and the property owner Tony on the chainsaw we have commenced a huge clearing job, and as of today we are 3 days in and have just about finished clearing 50 or more trees, separating and stacking the root balls, trunks and branches, big and small, tomorrow we have a bit more clean up to do in the morning and then its on to the house, shed, entry roads and water tank pads/cut, has to be one of the biggest jobs we have done yet and all is going great, see some before during and after pics, cheers Greg

04.01.2022 In conjunction with Southern Euro Concrete this week we also smashed out a house slab down in Broulee, the hottest day of the week happened to be yesterday which happened to be the day we poured the concrete, 36 degrees is not ideal bt we got in well over 40 cubic metres and the only issue was that we ran out of daylight for the last pass but all done and looked great, cheers

01.01.2022 Well we had an early mark yesterday when we got rained out at 1pm, it had been trying hard to rain for a few hours which was painful as the dust wanted to stick to the windows making it hard to see out of the bobcat, when it got heavier it helped to wash the glass but Bruce was getting soaked on the excavator so we called it a day, I continued running fill for the shed pad and when i ran out of fill I made a start on the house pad while Bruce kept going with the water tank pad, today I was on my own running fill into the rear of the shed pad and cutting the house pad which still needs to go down about 1m but I'm not too sure if we are going to get there as the rock has started to raise its ugly head, we will be back Monday to continue the works, cheers Greg
