09.01.2022 What a day it has been. To all the supporters and families at home you will be waking and reading this confirming that all the riders of Team Australia have qua...lified to race against the world's best at 3pm AEST. We have been reading all your best wishes and the support from back home, it has been amazing we can't thank you enough. 85cc Championship: Regan Duffy 61 has kept it calm and on two wheels through qualifying and showed maturity handling 50 of the world's best and I'm looking forward to Regan laying some great starts and getting up the front early. John Bova 284 was the third fastest of the Aussie awesome foursome on 85's and again with smart, consistent qualifying, put him well inside the top 20 of the best 85 riders in the World. Bailey Malkiewicz 47 rode smart, a good start I feel would put him inside a top five result. He qualified 9th. Bailey is fit and ready. Having raced World Championships once before in 2013 in Czech Republic he knows what it takes. Rhys Budd 22 had a slow start to qualifying sitting outside the top 20 for the first half of qualifying waiting for clear track as there was 50 riders trying to qualify at the one time, but Rhys got going with 10 minutes left and got up to 7th. All riders of the 85cc who qualified are only separated by six seconds from riders 1-40. 125cc Championship: Cooper Pozniak 17 is showing excellent maturity at World Championship qualifying. The 125 class would easily be the most challenging class out of the two with riders from Europe hoping their result could land them factory support in 2016. A holeshot from Cooper could see him run up the front and I'm confident a good result is possible. Hunter Lawrence 46 with a solid performance in qualifying, just 0.25 of a second off the top spot in Group B qualifying, Hunter is in a perfect position as the gate drops. Hunter is more than capable of winning. Almost a year ago he broke is arm in Belgium at the World Championship and I'm sure tomorrow he will ride the wheels of his Yamaha 125 and wants it bad. Our team support, KTM Kosak Racing really makes Team Australia feel at home, happy and relaxed. We are ready to fly the flag and show the Aussie fighting spirit. 03.01.2022 Timetable for today in El Molar:
02.01.2022 Team Australia Manager Glenn Macdonald is proud to advise that he has just been informed that Australia has earned 3rd place in the FIM World Junior Motocross T...eams Championship! Thank you to everyone including Motorcycling Australia the manufacturers, rider sponsors and of course the riders and families who have worked so hard, along with our amazing Team Support crew KTM Kosak Racing. The Team Championship is the result of the highest two placed riders from each country - one from the 85cc and the second from the 125cc. Rhys Budd placed 8th overall in the 85cc and Hunter Lawrence 3rd in the 125cc Championship. Glenn will no doubt provide more information and detailed thank-you messages as the event comes to a close. Stay tuned! Kristy - Admin MXGP KTM Australia Husqvarna #ridegreencup #juniormx #mxgp
