10.01.2022 Some property owners are upset by the new flood overlays, but they are actually a good thing! I remember when the 2011 floods in Brisbane happened, which caused deaths and an incredible amount of property damage. I wondered why the councils had allowed people to build in a flood plain/river delta? Flood overlays are put in place to protect you and your property and shouldn't be considered the enemy.
