13.01.2022 A new drive through COVID-19 testing clinic is open this Saturday and Sunday in Orange. The clinic will run from 10am to 5pm. The service is free of charge, and... you dont need a referral or appointment to attend. The tests are then sent away for analysis which normally takes about 48 hours. If your test is negative, you can request to get those results by text message even faster. Right now, our message is very simple if you have any symptoms, even mild ones, arrange to be tested. We all need to keep our family and loved ones safe. To help stop the spread of COVID-19: * If you are unwell stay in, get tested and isolate * Wash your hands regularly * Take hand sanitiser with you when you go out * Keep your distance. Leave 1.5 metres between yourself and others * Wear a mask in situations where you cannot physically distance The WNSWLHD has reopened the Orange Fever Clinic at the Orange Health Service. It will be operational from 10.00am to 5.00pm, 7 days a week. For more information visit: https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/Infectio//Pages/clinics.aspx #OrangeNSW #COVIDTest

11.01.2022 The NSW Government is strongly encouraging NSW citizens to wear a mask in high-risk settings to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in NSW. Wearing a face mask... provides an additional physical barrier to protect the community and help reduce community transmission. Continue to practise physical distancing, wash your hands regularly and if you are unwell stay in and get tested. For more information about the protection that masks provide against COVID-19 visit: https://www.nsw.gov.au/media-/health-advice-update-on-masks

10.01.2022 Happy April Fools Day. Nope, were not permanently changing our name to Pink. We are so happy to partner with the McGrath Foundation for its October Pink Up ...Your Town campaign. The Foundation approached us to help them out with this April Fools Day stunt to gain some national coverage to highlight the foundations fundraising efforts. They produced the two fantastic videos. It was a blast and were keen to work with everyone in the community, in October, to truly change our city pink for the month. Watch this video to learn just how the Mcgrath Foundation has helped Orange people who have had a diagnosis of breast cancer. Please share and help us help the foundation, and everyone in Orange who has, or will need a McGrath Foundation Breast Cancer Care Nurse. #pinkupyourtown See more

04.01.2022 **IMPORTANT INFORMATION - COVID-19** Dear Patient The Central West Cancer Care Centre (CWCCC) is working closely with the NSW Department of Health and other Australian cancer centres to keep you safe. We are also aiming to protect our patients and their families & carers, visitors and health care workers from COVID-19.... Orange hospital remains open and fully functional with the appropriate safeguards and containment precautions in place. Much preparation and planning is already underway and much more is being planned. PATIENTS: If you are currently receiving cancer treatment at the Central West Cancer Care Centre and you begin to feel unwell and develop a fever, shortness of breath, a cough, or other respiratory symptoms please contact your treating team and we will direct you to the most appropriate place of care If you have arrived home from international travel in the last 14 days or have come into close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 infection and are unwell you should seek immediate medical attention. Call ahead to your GP or closest emergency department and mention your overseas travel before you arrive so they can prepare appropriate infection control measures. You can also seek further advice from the COVID-19 hotline on 1800 675 398 If you have serious symptoms such as difficulty breathing call 000 and ask for an ambulance The clinical teams at the Central West Cancer Care Centre are currently working to move review and non-urgent appointments to minimise the number of patients who have to come into hospital every day. You may receive notification of appointment changes over the coming weeks or a request to change it to a telehealth appointment. VISITORS: For the safety of our patients and staff please DO NOT visit a Orange Hospital or the Central West Cancer Care Centre if you have a fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath or have been overseas in the last 14 days. To provide additional safeguards for our patients, we ask that visitors be limited in number to 2 per patient at any one time. No children should visit either. Please remember at this point if you have not traveled to affected areas overseas or have not been in direct contact with anyone who has visited the affected areas overseas, there is very little risk of infection. We strongly recommend you do not travel overseas especially given that the Federal Government has now mandated self isolation for 14 days for anyone who has been overseas. Thank you CWCCC Team
