25.01.2022 Orange Base Hospital is the largest rural hospital in NSW and is the trauma centre for the Central West. On weekends resources are tight as patients are funnelled from Orange, Bathurst, Cowra, Parkes, Forbes and beyond into the hospital. Two days per week, only one theatre is open to handle all emergencies in the Central West, from broken bones through to caesarians and motor vehicle trauma. Is the largest rural hospital in NSW appropriately funded for the demand it is experiencing, what powers are at play in a hospital environment and how do you find your voice when resources are tight and care is compromised. http://bit.ly/cwcm20190401

15.01.2022 Bathurst is a great stepping stone to support those doing business in greater Western NSW. I have enjoyed getting to know the Upstairs crowd having recently joined as a virtual member. Make sure you stop off and visit Dom downstairs in the cafe and grab a cuppa to take with you on your next trip over the mountains. The coffee is fantastic and the location is inspiring.... I would love to have access to a venue like this in Parkes, a place where the community can come together and businesses to network. Check out the space when you are over in Bathurst next. Next step Sydney but only for a few days to learn how we can bring the best bits back to our backyard and make doing business in the Bush even better.

Many people have asked me why I have changed my focus from law to mediation. Generally, the practice of law is looking back at what has happened. In comparison, mediation is future focused and looks forward to resolve conflict.... The world is full of conflict and it is important to understand that conflict does not have to be negative, conflict can be positive. Conflict can create lasting change for the good and give people the opportunity to feel empowered to manage the conflict that they experience, rather than feel helpless. Conflict takes many forms from arguments to bullying and harassment. Conflict can also be hard to see, although the consequences can be no less devastating. We experience conflict in our homes, workplaces, schools and wider community and if we understand our conflict we can more successfully resolve the conflict.
