24.01.2022 Elvis the Splitter 2018-2020 With the end of this firewood season, we announce the retirement of Elvis. He has had several open heart surgeries, broken legs, new prosthetic parts, and amputations, and has gone through over 2,500 tonnes in 3 years. His retirement to the back of the shed is not before time, though he will make periodic guest appearances when required.... He is survived be his successor, Priscilla. Good luck, and Godspeed. 12.01.2022 Shrek just sent me a photo of the mud pit he’s taking his bath in later today. The only problem is, that’s actually our yard. Priscilla is here (and bogged), Hercules can move (hence the tracks), but he’s more sluggish than normal. And our tall yardsman sank up to his knees this morning! So, we’re calling it. We’re closing the yard today, and probably tomorrow.... If you’re booked in, let’s us know if you’re running short and we’ll get an emergency supply out to you until we can get the full load out.
